Okay. Throwing out a another call to anyone interested in this little storyline before we get things rolling.
Anyone? *pimps the mission*
Update - if anyone else is interested, the mission will probably end up with two teams. We could also split into two groups of 2-3... any thoughts?
Assault Team 1) Josh 2) Bobby 3) Rogue 4) Riley 5) Kitty

Small teams good, large teams baaaaaad! Five is manageable, though.
It doesn't sound like the BH wants in, so we can drop the fake-Magneto aspect.
So, the NPC villains we know about: - Barricade (power: creating the large-scale force-field bubble that keeps all the normal people without the ability to phase or teleport from turning this into a firefight, enough of a personal forcefield that he'll be the last one to go down, no offensive abilities to speak of, doesn't actually need to be run since he won't do anything but keep the forcewall up)
- Template (power: power-theft, currently "borrowing" Miss-Marvel type abilities)
So we need someone to run Template and I'd say we want two more studly villains. (I say two studly ones rather than more weaker ones because that way we get to team up on them, which is more fun.) Whoever runs them gets to decide on their abilities and whatnot. That said, at the end of the day they ought to lose.
Pyro's volunteered to run one villain. If we don't get two others I'll sign up for running one of them, but would rather not fight myself given a choice.
Given the lack of a team B I'd say we drop the kidnapping part of the plot altogether and just make this a straight Dog Day Afternoon kind of scenario.

Mags did seem interested - *calls for Mags*. if not, yeah. drop the BH aspect. I suggest Rogue run the Template character. I think it will make things rather easier (and flow better, if Rogue gets into a catfight, if Zombie!Rozana is writing it all together). We saw from the 20m N of Westchester thread (who's up in that one, anyway?) that combat can tend to get tricky, and i'm all for taking shortcuts Finally, we do have alot on our plates in terms of storyline, both this mission and shortly the Bobby!kidnapping. I think that it should be fine, though. If anyone's worried about the two overlapping... speak now or forever hold your X-Gene.

Sure, why not? If she ends up permanently power-frotzed in some way (which would make sense if you end up permanently buffed) she'll probably come back to get even... she could become a long-term Rogue nemesis...

Note that goes along with the plot:
I was thinking about the Templace-Rogue combo, and I realized something. She has abilities that aren't "Roguey-cannon-powers" - the power-theft being totally different. Template can store powers, ableit temporarilly.
So I was thinking that Temp's powers merge w/Rogueys - meaning that she can recall psykes' powers whenever she wants. Still untouchable, and she'd have to learn to master this, of course, but it would give her the boost needed to do it.
I've already figured out how she'd go about doing that, I just wanted to know if anyone thought that was too much power for 'er? 'Cause, I know, it is a lot of potential. But she's still gonna be goin' totally bonkers, so I don't plan on having her discover this until she's mostly recovered from her craziness, for that reason alone.

What I'd had in mind when I suggested the idea originally was that, because Template and Rogue's powers are similar, the result of one of them trying to drain the other is an anomaly where, at least in this case, the power-slots Temp is carrying (the "Miss Marvel" powers) get passed along to Rogue permanently.
As for the alternative idea: like most too-much-power issues, the real answer is "depends on how you play it." But combining Mags, Pyro, and Bobby is pretty damned tough. I don't care too much personally - if it gets obnoxious we can have Rogue lose them again - but it's definitely worth being careful about.

I had planned on having her lose the psykes she already has after Temp. gets up there, for that reason (specifically the Magneto one). Have Template "kill" them off. But that's a little more into the insanity thing, there...

I'd say it's a bit of a question for Pyro. You did say that you wanted a telepath in your head for the big explosion... I'm looking forward to it Give Joshy a headache... hee!
