I’ve talked about this briefly with Pyro but then various life things happened and it sort of slipped my mind. Figured I’d revive the thought via plot-lab-erizing it and avoid my homework see who’s interested:
So, I’ve been thinking that the Brotherhood needs to get out and have some fun. Work on team spirit. Build morale. Go team evil! The idea that occurred to me for some quick and dirty action thread fun was a highly publicized anti-mutant rally in NYC.
The Brotherhood would probably send a team out to cause mayhem at such an event on principle (if for no other reason) and the X-men would, in turn, probably anticipate this and send their own team in to wait behind the scenes in case of any violence. Violence would then erupt (duh) and we could have some fighting fun X-men v. Brotherhood with the rally-goers and cops in the middle being hindrances. I’m thinking it pretty much ends in a draw- Brotherhood causes a satisfactory amount of chaos and reminds the human race how scary they are and the X-men keep too many people from being hurt and probably don’t get too terribly knocked about themselves.
As for timing…post-Baxter when the dust has settled and everyone’s healed up a little?
And finally a bit of a side-bar because I can’t ever seem to remember to IM anyone when they’re online: If this idea passes muster I thought this could be a prelude to the Warren-Primer thread that was proposed. My idea was that Primer would go along with the Brotherhood team and be recognized by Warren as Sean Garrison. Primer would talk his way out of the inevitable questions by saying that he’d come hoping to take the floor and provide a counterpoint. To which I think Warren would say something along the lines of “Er. No. Go home.” which Primer would pretend to do but would in fact merely hang back during the fight. This would re-open lines of communication between the two and they could have their little thread.
Ideas? Questions? Comments? Yak throwing?
