"You could proceed with telling me anything that might be of interest, such as the exact ability your eyes give you. I'm not a mutation expert." he says, relaxing in his chair.
"Perhaps a bit of your past, if only the good parts. And, most of all, what use could you be to the brotherhood?" he adds after a few moments, remembering that question. All of this was for his personal reference really, since Magneto would have probably recruited the guy right after he said he was willing to do anything.
But, then again, that's why Sherridan is in the Brotherhood, right? For his diplomatic skills. For his ability to dance the social version of tango with ease and grace as well as have several partners in it at the same time. And, of course, Ferus in there because of his ability to kill cold bloodedly.

>"You could proceed with telling me anything that might be of interest, such as the exact ability your eyes give you. I'm not a mutation expert."
"Well, my eyes allow me to see in the dark as if it were brightest day. The world, to me, appears in shades of pink and white. Pink for scenery, white for heat and living things. But, I'm blinded by bright lights, which is the reason I have these" he replies, indicating his goggles.
He supposes that's a pretty legitimate answer, one that pretty much sums up his eyeshine ability. Riddick notices Ferus relax in his seat, so he does the same. The two are now down to a strictly business like manner. Riddick assumes this is his "job interview" for the Brotherhood, so he wants to make a good impression.
>"Perhaps a bit of your past, if only the good parts. And, most of all, what use could you be to the Brotherhood?"
Hmmm...his past...well that was a hard road.
"My past...I was born to two human parents, then dumped in a trash bin as a newborn. A mutant by the name of Grayden Webb found me and took me in. That man raised me like his own child, teaching me all he knew of the martial arts. I grew up on the streets, a hard life to live... Grayden was my father...and those filthy sapiens killed him when they learned his secret, a secret that he shouldn't have had to keep in the first place. I hunted every single one of them down and killed them. I've been on my own for a while now, and I'm looking for mutant freedom...I believe the Brotherhood can help achieve that...not just for me, but for all of us."
He paused before finishing his answer, letting the words sink in for Ferus.
"And, let's just say, I have a knack for escape and stealth"

As Riddick starts off about his past, Sherridan listens with only a third of attention, which is still more than enough.
One of the other two thirds is remembering the data he has on Grayden Webb. A very familiar name. After a few seconds, he remembers what he has on the mutant, and remembers the strange deaths of his assassins.
Another third, the last one, is tracing backwards, reminded of his own background by Riddick's story. He had not, however, set the goals of his vengeance so low. No, Ferus is intent on making sure that every single homo sapiens suffers for what their society has done. And most do, some through pain, battle, and blood, other through despair, social decay, and eventually, suicide.
"Very well. That would be enough." he says, snapping from his memories suddenly, getting away from the hidden demon before it has the time to strike this time. No, this is not the time to deal with it. As well as no other, since Sherridan simply follows the same mantra throughout. "I am part of the Brotherhood, and you can join us. The only thing you need to do, is manage to follow me to the hideout, or discover it somehow. Don't think, however, that I will allow you to follow me- no homo sapien has lived through that attempt, and no mutant has succeeded in tracing me up to the very end." he says finally.

Enough? Enough for what? Was this it? Was he in? He questions were answered soon after he thought them.

So, this guy was with the Brotherhood. Interesting. Find it or follow him back to the hideout? He preferred that Ferus just take him there...but if that was his initiation test then so be it, he was very confident in his abilities.
Brotherhood, here I come.
"Lead the way, I'll follow"
(ugh, my muse flushed himself down the toilet)

Sherridan laughs. "You haven't quite understood then, Riddick. Tonight, I won't be taking you anywhere. The main reason for this is the fact that I will not be staying in the Brotherhood hideout for the next few days. In a couple of days, if you have not found out about the location by that time, try to find me in the more deserted streets around 2 or 3 in the morning. If you manage to find me then, I will take you to the brotherhood. I won't try to hide, so that shouldn't pose a problem." and with that, he finishes his drink and eats the last of the garlic breads.
Standing up, the cat-man straightens his clothes and looks down on the still sitting Riddick. "Good night to you, sir." he says cheerfully, nodding his head, and walking out of the bar, a satisfied smile on his face. Good, this got me in the mood to try and sweet talk that other guy into merging with my law firm.
With these final thoughts, the gentleman disappears in the night, without a trace, and goes off to the richer parts of town, in search for his next target.

As Sherridan laughs, a confused look crosses Riddick's face. Oops, I forgot people don't normally travel in the middle of the night
He kind of laughs it off internally.

"Hmm..okay, will do there, Ferus"
Riddick, still sitting, watches Ferus leave his seat.
>"Good night to you, sir."
Ferus seems very cheerful to Riddick. Like he's just discovered something good.
"Yeah, you too."
Riddick watches Sherridan as he disappears from sight. Riddick himself is still sitting, twirling a shiv absently, still thinking about what has happened tonight. He was just recruited into the Brotherhood by another mutant.
The manager of the bar comes up to Riddick, who isn't paying him any attention.
"Hey, could ya put that blade away, yer scarin a few of my customers"
Riddick still twirls the blade for a moment, faking the guy out, seeming as if he didn't hear him. But after that moment, Riddick slides the shiv back into its respective place. He looks the guy in the eye, and notices that the manager's gaze is fixed on Riddick's mutant eyes.
"Is there a problem?"
"Yeah, there is. I don't allow your kind here."
"Now... I don't know what your talkin about."
"Your kind, filthy muties," the man spits.
"You must not no who your talkin to...'cause I'm no ordinary mutant you hear about on the news."
"Yeah, what are you? Mr. Bigshot?"
Faster than a man can blink, Riddick shoves a shiv into the man's throat, which proceeds to gush blood.
"Nah, the name's Riddick"
And with that, he makes his exit into the night.
END
(OOC: Riddick finds his way to the Brotherhood Hideout)
