< I was doing very well when the Professor was around and teaching me… Would it be too forward if… nah. ‘Course not. Only right and proper, right?
”Well, if y’need any lessons” Ach, could that have sounded any more awkward? Probably not, smacking as it did of five year olds exchanging crayons and asking each other to marry them (ick, not the image he wanted. Not at all)… though the way he continued didn’t really improve matters that much, since surprise surprise babbling took over again ”Not that I’m n expert or anything, but, well, it’s sort of my job and all, and I’d like to help, and… erm, yeah”
Her next words weren’t much easier to come up with a dignified and mature answer to, because the amount of faith people were placing in him was bloody terrifying, so a shy smile and an ”Um… thanks. That’d be great” was all he could manage.

With the sound of Jake's voice, she could tell that he was feeling a bit awkward, while he was talking to her about helping her with her powers. "Well I don't want to be a burdden to you. But thank you. I guess we'll see, but I wont be asking any time soon. I'll wait till your settled in and use to everything here, before asking about that." she told him with a smile.
Riley then began to think, it might be a good time to change the subject, to get the happy mood going again. "So have you met any one around here that had caught your eye yet?" she asked him, still smiling. She knew that there was quite a few new people and wondered if a staff member or some one had caught his interest.
Slowly, Riley turned her head back towards the sunset. It was looking so beautiful over the lake. She always loved to watch them setting on a lake. It always seemed a lot more better that way. Riley soon looked back at Jake again. She was getting tired sitting up, so she went back onto her elbows again.
