Toni grins to herself as she finishes unscrewing the toilet seat. She pulls the plastic horseshoe-like object off and sets to the side of the glossy bowl.
This was going to be fun.
Well known for her spontaneous and to the point classes, Toni is sure that her students were going to get a kick out of this chemistry experiment.
She smiles and holds the iron screwdriver in her hand. Without much thought, she reabsorbs the metal into her skin. Toni turns and leaves the stall, sealing it shot with a forged iron clamp and sticking an "Out of Order" sign on the door.
With a smug look on her face, she pulls open the bathroom door and walks out into hall. Her heavy feet thump against the floor as she approaches the science lab, eager to start the lesson.
As she enters the lab, she sees that there are already a few students waiting for her.

As far as classes go, chemistry is one of the classes Robin feels inclined to just sleep through. Even two years at the Xavier Institute have failed to perk her interest much. Her fellow students don't seem much more excited than her, so Robin doesn't feel too horrible. Not to mention it is just way too early to be thinking. As winter starts approaching, even the late morning classes are hard to stay awake for.
The door swings open and Ms. Craft walks in, looking entirely too awake and excited this morning. Robin surpresses a quiet groan. This can mean only one thing: they were going to have yet another wonderful experiment. Hopefully nothing explodes this time, she thinks rather unhappily to herself. The last experiment had ended in a bit of a disaster, but that was due more to clumsy students who hadn't been paying attention.
Robin edges her chair behind some equipment sitting on the lab table, hoping to avoid getting noticed by anyone else. From the look on Ms. Craft's face, it seems unlikely Robin will be able to catch up on any lost sleep today.

As Josh stares blankly into the distance, a pen spins clockwise on the counter.
Chemistry was a necessary evil. Josh's real interest was biology, and if you liked the cool DNA sorta things that explain how mutants get their powers, you had to know a bit of chemistry. Unfortunately.
He eyes the other students in the lab. Robin looked like she'd love to crawl right back into bed. Not a bad idea, actually. Especially since Warren is gone again... Mondays were the hardest to face without him. Everyone hates Monday. Gah.
Suddenly he realizes Ms. Craft is back in the room, looking supremely excited. Last time, his old roommate (the one before Bobby, that is) had started screwing around with sodium. Idiot. Everyone knows what a bad idea that is.
"Oh. Sorry." He looks over at Robin. "Sometimes I get bored and then forget about it." The pen comes to a spiralling halt.
Yay chemistry... at least Ms. Craft tried to make things interesting.

Robin glances at Ms. Craft, but she doesn't seem to be starting class just yet. Josh's pen has been a nice point of interest, but it soon stops spinning.
>"Sometimes I get bored and then forget about it."
Robin gives Josh a half-shrug.
"It's ok. I'd do it, too," she says, watching almost wistfully as it does finally come to a stop. Sometimes, just sometimes, Robin wonders what it would be like to have a different mutant power. Something which let a girl eat like a normal person, for example. Seeing there was still some time before Ms. Craft starts class, Robin leans over a little closer to Josh and lowers her voice a little.
"Soooo, how are things between you and your boy?" she asks. Rumors fly high and wide at the Institute, and Robin is far more interested in hearing the truth from Josh.

Rogue's head is down on the desk, and she appears to be asleep. She's not, she's just...resting her eyelids? Okay, she's nearly asleep, but she's awake enough to hear things happening, just not quite enough to understand them, entirely. She knows other people are talking, and that the noise is really having a bad effect on her sleeping attempts.
She lifts her head to give a bleary glance aroud the room, and pushes her elbows up onto the table in an attempt to support her drooping head on her hands. It works, and now she looks a little more awake, at least.
She has nothing against this class, in particular - it's simply classes in general that have been fairly annoying lately. Social interaction combined with paying attention, combined with not sleeping well meant a very irritable Roguey.
A notebook is laying open, folded in half, before her, and she makes a forced effort to pick up the pen and begin doodling, because at least then she wouldn't look quite so much like a zombie. Most likely, at least. Most zombies didn't draw.
A spikey-looking rose. An eye. Some...odd..thing she didn't really recognize. A Hebrew symbol/letter...
She stares at the last one a moment, then crosses it out, scribbling over it repeatedly with her pen, until it's gone, much more awake now than she had been. She didn't know Hebrew. She shouldn't have been able to draw that... This is shaping up to be a very, very annoying morning.

Josh blinks a little. Are we Institute gossip? Well, Robin had been around the school for awhile, so it wasn't as if a stranger was asking. A hundred different answers flit through his head.
A goofy-looking grin spreads across his face. "Really, really great, Robin. I'm so lucky. Warren is an amazing guy. Granted, when we're together in New York City we end up dodging paparazzi, but other than that, I've no complaints at all." He doesn't add that the press is becoming more and more curious about his background, and Warren's. They've managed to keep their permanent address at the school a secret, but who knew how long that would last?
"How are you holding up? It's getting closer to winter." Josh had eventually acclimated to the harsh winters, and Bobby reveled in them, but Robin became vaguely ill. He looks a little concerned.

"Mornin' folks! How's everyone doing this sunny, great morning?" Toni, or Ms. Craft to her students, says cheerfully. She notices the tired, slumped students conversing at their desks.
Josh, Robin, Rogue and a few others were already sitting in the lab when she arrived.
"Looks like we've got a couple of keeners here!" She grins wide, half expecting a series of dirty looks from her students. "I guess we're going to end up waiting for a bit," she checks her watch, "class doesn't start for another ten minutes. So until then, you guys can do whatever. And by whatever, I mean get more sleep. You guys look terrrible!"
Toni turns her attention away from her students and focuses on her desk. Whistling to herself she shuffles through the stack of photocopies on her desk; today's lab assignment. After stapling the appropriate pages together, she heads over to the cupboard and pulls it open.
Sodium, Magnesium, Aluminium, Sodium Chloride, a small piece of silver, tin and a few other elements and solutions cover the shelves.
Sodium. Ugh. Toni did not want to remember her infamous 'What does this do when I mix it with this?' class. That hadn't gone over well. The fire sprinkles had cost the institute a fortune in damages.
But, Toni pulled the Sodium out all the same. A few other chemicals were removed from their shelves as well.
She heard the students chatting away in the background. From the tone of their voices, she assumes gossip. Toni checks her watch again: six more minutes to go.

Robin watches Ms. Craft pull out the chemicals and winces a little when sodium gets set on the table. So it's going to be one of those experiment. She will have to make sure to keep some of the sturdier people between her and the explosions.
>"How are you holding up? It's getting closer to winter."
Robin had listened to Josh's exclamation of love-happiness with only a small grain of salt. He sounded genuine enough in his emotions, and who was she to question happiness? As long as it didn't lead to crazy things, and it wasn't like Warren was a member of the Brotherhood or anything. But the the mention of winter brings her mood down to the ground.
"I'm doing ok for now. Just a little tired. But," she shrugs, "when it starts to snow it's going to be hard. Maybe I'll just sleep through the whole winter this time." She tries to look almost positive, so Josh and no one really worries, but the thought of the cold was frightening. It was going to be a tough winter, and it seems like it's already a little unnaturally cold. But Robin assures herself that this is just her being too sensitive to the cold.
She gives Josh what she hopes is a reassuring smile as the clock ticked the last few minutes before class began.

(Because poor little Anna's bored as heck...)
Anna walks into the room, a notebook and sketchbook tucked under one arm, and a bag over one shoulder, and moves straight to a seat near the window. She's dressed as per usual - all black - and hadn't bothered to put anything on for a class that could, potentially, get messy. It didn't much matter if she did, she could get it out. Hopefully.
She glances at the clock once she's seated, and notes with relief the fact that it's not late yet. Others are already present, and she could already hear the buzzing of minds within this room - and the other classrooms - from the hallway. Annoying. She forces up a shield, and hopes it stays there.
She sets the notebook and sketchbook down on the table, then drapes the bag that she'd brought in over the back of her chair. There, now she was ready for...chemestry, right?
Yeah. She smiles a little to herself, as she eyes the fairly large, bold font title that read "Chemestry" across the from of her notebook - along with several doodles of what are supposed to be vials of bubbling chemicals, done in Sharpies. She pulls one out of her bag, and starts doodling yet another one onto the red, glossy cover.

Walking down the hall, basically late for his first class of the day, was Ryan Gryffins. You see, he wasn't really in a hurry to learn about chemicals and what not, and besides, it was still early. With a bookbag draped over his shoulder, he stifled a yawn and used his power to open the door.
He walked in to the class, with a few minutes to spare. He recalled a few of their last classes, which, had ended in small disasters. A smile played on his lips as he walked to his desk, which was positioned in the second row. Taking his seat, he unzipped his Jansport and retrieved his science notebook and text.
Who knew what Ms. Craft had in store for them this morning? Coins jingled in his pocket as he reached for his blue pens. Taking one out, he began to manipulate his quarter, stretching it into the size of a 50 cent piece, rolling it into a sphere, etc.

Toni turns and watches as Ryan enters the classroom.
"How's it going, Ryan?" She asks casually, leaning back against her desk. The teen was a little different than the rest of her students, mainly because he could manipulate metal. That raises a few concerns in regards to Toni, considering she's iron-based. But the kid hadn't pulled anything yet, so she had grown to relax around him.
She checks her watch again.
"Alright, folks. Looks like it's time to par-tay! Who's up for some chem-related fun?" She grins widely, noting all the tired and uninterested faces that fill the lab. "We'll be doing another lab analysis today, only this time, I'll be running it. I'm sure you all remember what happened last time I let you touch the pretty little jars." Toni points back at the various chemicals, elements and solutions behind her. "You'll need a note pad and a pencil for these experiments. Pick up the handouts on the way out the door and head down to the woman's washroom. Yes, gentlemen, that includes you too." She smirks, knowing that most of the boys wouldn't care too much for her impromtu lab in the bathroom.
She turns back to her desk and listens as most of the students shuffle through their books.
"Any chance one of you could give me a hand carrying this stuff down the hall?" Toni asks, picking up three of the jars.

"How's it going, Ryan?"
He barely even heard her through his groggy fog that he seemed to be trapped in. Taking his eyes off of his now BB shaped piece of metal, he smiles at Ms. Craft and says,
"Pretty good, Ms. Craft. How about you?"
"Alright, folks. Looks like it's time to par-tay! Who's up for some chem-related fun? We'll be doing another lab analysis today, only this time, I'll be running it. Well, Ms. Craft seems to be in a peachy mood today. She probably has something she would consider fun or interesting planned for the class. Women's washroom? This was bound to be a Chemistry-type class, chaotic to say the least. He sighs slightly as he packs his textbook into his bag and carries his notebook and pen up to her desk.
Taking a handout, he replies to her question.
"Sure, I'll help out"
He waits for the other students to file out and proceed down the hall. With a tired look on his youthful face he leans on her desk and asks, "So, what's on the agenda for today?"
Hopefully if he knows what's coming, he can defend against it. Hopefully.

Obediently, Josh picks up his equipment and glances over at the pile of things on Toni's desk. A portion of it lifts gently off the desk and begins to float out the lab door.
He follows it out, looking back over his shoulder.
"The ah... women's restroom?" Josh looks slightly uncomfortable.
God, this is why I like biology more than chemistry. He shakes his head imperceptibly and begins to walk down the hall.

Robin clutches her notebook, holding it in front of her almost like a shield. The is going to be a disaster, I just know it, she thinks dismally to herself, eyeing her classmates. In case of explosions, she needs to figure out who will make the best shield of debris.
In a class of mutants, it can be surprisingly difficult to find one capable of being a human shield. Rogue looks too, well, zombie-like to be of any use in a disaster, and Anna would be the completely useless at being a shield. Wait... she thinks, an idea suddenly dawning. The best person to use as a shield was undoubtedly Ms. Craft, who, despite being up close and personal with the experiment, knew the best safety precautions and whatnot. Not to mention she could always just turn her arm into a giant frying pan or something. Not that metal was a guarantee in chemistry, but it was always better than what Robin could, er, cook up.
With a touch more enthusiasm, Robin enters the bathroom.

Toni cradles three jars in her arms and watches as her class filters out of the lab, all heading towards the women's washroom.
"Sure, I'll help out" Ryan says, picking up a few containers. He pauses and asks, "So, what's on the agenda for today?"
Toni grins. "No way," she waves a finger at him. "I'm not giving you any hints." She blinks when a handful of items float by her and precede Josh as he leaves. "Thanks Josh."
The telekinetic hesitates and looks back at her. "The ah... women's restroom?"
"That's right." Toni manages to add a few more jars to her armful. "I'll be another minute, but you guys just get one of the girls to run in and make sure it's empty before you go in."
