Daniel attempts to get rid of the scarf a few more times before deciding it is completely useless to resist the woman. The conversation she and the old man have completely flies over his head, although he does register the few little things that hint away that the woman would perhaps also be a mutant.
When part of the roof collapses, however, and the old man reacts ever so calmly, Danny simply decides to follow the two, wherever they go, questions swarming in his mind, not the least one of which is whether this man here who was helping him was none other than the notorious master of magnetism or not.
"Really...you did not need to fuss so much about me...I have been through worse..." he mutters, but still loud enough for the other two to hear. After all, what good is reassuring someone something, if that someone has no idea that they are being addressed?
I wonder if I could borrow his powers...but then again...if he really is Magneto, he would kill me on the spot...right? he can't help but have doubts in his conclusion. After all, the roof could have been just an accident, and this could have been just another random mutant approaching him to offer help. "So...um...how much did you pay for the book? I wanted to buy one for my uncle for his birthday- his own copy is nearly completely decomposed."
