Hello all.
Now you may have noticed that my activity has died off recently. For that, I blame work and all other aspects of real life right now....and my non-existent third nipple. Blame the nipple.
Anyways, the inactivity will increase due to a voyage I'm taking to Victoria to see the relatives. I'm leaving tomorrow and I'm getting back late Monday evening. I will have access to a computer, but not enough to chat or write, so I'm officially gone until Tuesday or so. I shall spend my time interrogating the cousin about why there are pictures of him playing strip poker on Facebook. I have permanent brain damage because of that, but thankfully it appears to have affected a non-vital area of my noodle...but for some reason all the milk tastes sour now. Whether it's the milk or me has yet to be seen.
I leave you with these words of wisdom: Never, no matter how tempting, trust a white guy whose name is Shimzi.
And now I am off to satiate my need for an ocean. Toodles!

Any objection to Matty being g'modded out of the riot? I imagine he'll follow Laurie if she takes off Blackbirdward...

Hello all. I apologize for not having been online in quite a while. I think that I may have to take a bit of leave, as my life has taken a drastic plunge in the work area. I have a co-worker who is relentlessly dumping things on me and then turning around and blaming things on me in front of my boss. The result is me sitting at my desk trying to resist punching him in the face. Another co-worker fully sympathsizes and is serving as my work counsellor. Luckily, there are only 11 more working days until I go home, so I don't have to put up with this bullshit for much longer. And I think I'm getting sick...not good. So if you find it necessary, please feel free to g-mod my charries (Toni, Matty, Tasky, Bernie) and I'm sorry for having jumped into posts without really doing much. I'd like to be able to post as frequently as I have, but with all the things going on lately, it's taking everything I have not to completely snap and go on a giant cursing and screaming rampage through my office, annihilating all in my path. If I post, then yay! If not...then I'm trying to cope while shakily tossing back pills...speaking of which, time for one... *twitch* At most, I'll be gone about 3 weeks, but I really hope I'll be back before then. Toodles and stab pins in the co-worker-shaped voodoo doll for me

I'm sorry that work's treating you so badly! Take all the time you need, we all understand what having a rough patch is like. Thanks for being so understanding with letting us maneuver your characters out of the way - and no apologizing. Getting things in order in RL is most important. We'll be keeping your spot warm...hehe.

So, as you may already know, I'm off on another voyage. This time instead of kickin' it west, I'm kickin' north. That's right, I'm heading north of 60, above the tree line, and almost to the DEW line. That's pretty damn north...and cold. For the next four months, I will be calling Iqaluit, Nunavut home. While there, I suspect I will have internet, and if not, then I will die. 'Nuff said. Also, assuming that I will have internet, there are some important things I guess I must tell you. #1. It's not considered 'high speed' up there. It's moreso a nice medium speed. #2. Solar activity's a bitch. Solar flares and sunspots will affect my internet stuffs, as it is a satelite uplink. So if I disappear for an extended period of time, it's probably because of some undesired solar activity. Either that, or I was an idiot and licked the frozen flag pole. #3. Being that far up north, snow storms and extreme weather are the norm. Power outages are frequent as 75mph snowy winds like to knock out power lines and the like. So again, if it's not the solar flares, it's the weather...or the frozen flag pole again. (I just had a friend tell me yesterday that when flying anywhere from the north, prepare to be delayed for two weeks. That's just how long this type of weather can last. Oi.) Those are the real main points. It maybe several days after I arrive before I can get my internet set up, so I'll be gone from now (cottage time!) until...next week-ish...at the best, I'd say. Once I get up there, I'm hoping to keep a video blog on youtube, so that family and friends can check me out online and see some of the stuff I've done. So once that happens, I'll post the link here so you can all see the pics of my adventures! Anyways, wish me luck! And I'll bring you some sealskin mittens or something Or a t-shirt that says "Polar bears do it in Iqaluit", though that one's reserved for Bob Cheers!
