Looking up, the Chief is aware of the massive Covenant excavation fleet as they swarm over him. In the canyon below him, a massive metallic structure, three miles in diameter, blooms, its metallic spires reaching towards the sky.
The scene shifts from the Spartan, to the Rebel Covenant, recently separated from the Covenant in a bloody civil war. An Elite, the Arbiter, paces back and forth in the large camp occupied by Grunts and Elites alike. Snow begins to fall among the many portable living quarters. Gazing skyward, he lets out a sigh and returns to his own, quite spacious quarters.
The UNSC and the Covenant have been at war for 27 years. Both sides have tasted victory and defeat respectively. But now, a shift in power has the UNSC on the brink of defeat as the battle shifts to Earth. As the final battles of the war play out, the soldiers will ultimately decide the fate of two nations. One, a theocratic alien civilization hell bent on their glorious "Great Journey", the other, the last Marines of Earth.
In order for the UNSC to even have a glimmer of hope, an unlikely alliance must form between the Rebels of the Covenant and the Soldiers of Earth. Together, they have a chance at halting the Covenant, and perhaps even win the war that has claimed countless lives.
Will you be the shift in power? Will you decide who wins? Either way, one thing is for sure...
