Flashback (Bobby, Josh, John, Marie)

I know I've mentioned I was interested in establishing Josh and John's relationship prior to the 'second date' thread. I was racking my brains and came up with an idea -

Here is a snippet from Josh and Warren's flying lesson:

With barely an effort he gets it unlocked ,and pushes the window pane upward psionically. “It’s going to be a lot easier to sneak out at night now that I can TK myself down. I used to lift whoever down, and then they’d have to spot me climbing. Once, the drainpipe broke away from the side of the building and Bobby made a snowbank for me to fall into… that was in July. We flooded one of Storm’s flowerbeds when it all melted. It was monsoon season for a week.”

So, I was thinking this could happen in the summer between Liberty Island (spring) and Alkali Lake (fall). The four of them sneak out to go do... something.... maybe go to Nancy's or something. hee! And then we flesh it out from there.

What does everyone think?

Either of you have a good destination in mind? I was thinking Nancy's possibly, but both Bob and Ro have had separate drinking threads with John... hah!

i guess it could be something ridiculous like the porn store, but that thread would be pretty fucked up.

Hmm... Nancy's could be cool. Though Rogue wouldn't have much reason to want to tag along to such a blokey joint, and I dunno if Bob and Josh would pick it out unless it was a childish "Oh my god, let's go there!" sort of thing. Whatever.

Hmm... what would 4 mutant delinquents do late at night?

Drinking makes sense. Roguey likes her alcohol. >.>; And I don't really see her tagging along to go get porn. 'Cause...I just really don't. lol

If going to the bar itself doesn't sound like a good idea, maybe they sneak/snatch drinks, and go sit soemwhere - like a park or something. Bonding time, no other people around, and all that fun stuff.

You know, Bob and I talked about a round of "I never" with the mutant kids. which ended up happening in the pudnuf flashback.

i guess they could play some kind of drinking game... alcoholic haze being some kind of trend on this site i guess.

I really really want to get Roguey *smashed* in a thread somewhere. I think it would be decidedly awesomely fun...^_^

Pre-Alkali, post-Liberty Bobby/John/Rogue/Josh sounds cool... that'd be back when Rogue was the only one of the four to have seen action (X-Man style action, I mean!), and back when Bobby and Rogue were actually sorta-dating, both of which sound like a fun dynamic. Count me in.

As for where... hm. It's a complete cliche, but we could do the dare-each-other-to-spend-a-night-in-the-local-"haunted"-deserted-house schtick. Where none of us takes it seriously (well, Bobby might, a little, but he wouldn't admit to it) but it's more fun than hanging around the park. Get drunk, play stupid drinking games, say some things we wouldn't otherwise say.

Heck, given the universe, there could even be something legitimately dangerous hiding out there. (Not to turn this into a combat thread or anything, but it could add a level of creepy.)

Anyone else? Right now Ro' and Josh are climbing over to Bobby and John lol. The only bad thing about flashbacks is watching what everyone says to make sure there are no continuity slipups... lol.

So no making out with each other, boys that works for me. And Rogue wants to get smashed...

And yeah, that sounds good to me, too. Awesomefun. Ooh, if Bobby feels devious in the house, he could chill the place - y'know, the whole "it-gets-cold-when-there's-ghosts-around" thing. Or maybe ghost stories, tryin'a psych eachother out? Oooooh, the possibilites...Very cool idea, Bobby.

Should the guys' have the drinks with them, and bring them when they leave their room, or we be getting them someplace else? Just curious as to how that part should work out, 'cause I almost made mention in my post, then decided to leave it out. Heh.
