Okay, how do you see Magneto? Sure he's a bit strange and has a strong dislike for all homo sapiens, but is that because he's just plain evil or is his fear truley justified? Let me know.

So, I wouldn't necessarily say he's crazed, but he's more than just misguided.
He wants to start the war of all against all because he thinks his side can win, and he's willing to accept an arbitrary number of deaths (of both combatants and noncombatants) to get there. That's pretty much evil in my book. Whether crazy-evil or just-plain-evil is a matter of interpretation.
