kk... just a thought.
having toby freeze time to get out of a dangerous situation without taking any damage at all is, of course, perfectly fine... in fact, he's done it many times already. It was the "here I am, with time frozen, but that doesn't actually help" part I thought might be cool.
(chuckles) yay spiders!
also, more or less independent of how much trouble Rahne might get into, it's really not difficult to trigger her bloodthirsty side.

Wow y'all I missed...all of those last few posts until today when I sauntered in to make this post. I am soooo on top of things.
Um, anyway! It's about time for another beatdown! Our other lucky volunteers are Bob and Laurie so if no one else wants to sign up we'll get going on those two unless Bob has had enough pain and misery for one lifetime.
I asked Sherridan to run the Bob-attack unless he'd be away too much longer so...Sherridan you still on board?

Sure, I'm in. I've been beating up Bob a bunch in the interim to explore his new "my body is made out of what, now?" reality, but it never gets old, I guess.
Actually, it might be fun to do them both at once, and have Laurie end up pulling Bobby's fat out of the fire (say, by driving Rahne off in a panic?).

You know I'm in if you need me, and I may possibly have my other BH member up and running by then hopefully. -crosses fingers-

Ohh I like that idea Bob, give Laurie something useful to do for a change haha. I think in this case I will have Primer in the mix as I think it'sgoing to come out pretty soon that Primer is Laurie's dad though I suppose it doesn't have to also mean everyone knows Primer is Sean Garrison if you want Bob to be in continued therapy for any plot reasons. After all the only person who knows that connection is Laurie's mum and there could be some reason she wouldn't spill... killing her off being obvious but not something I want to do. *waves hands* I'll think of something.
Morgan- Yay of course we want Roger to come play! And new BHood character? Nifffty

Nah, don't delay the Big Reveal on Bob's account. I have no particular plot reasons to keep Bob in Sean's tender care... Sean has no doubt gotten all the information worth having out of Bob by this point, and Bob has gotten over his being-a-jerk phase.
If anything, it might be fun if Bob finds out that Sean Garrison = BH leader before it becomes general knowledge... that way he gets to struggle with whether he actually tells anyone that he's been detailing the deep dark secrets of his soul to the enemy. (Which he likely will, eventually, because he's like that, but he'd struggle with it.)
Or even better -- Laurie figures out that Primer = Sean = BH leader = Bobby's therapist and has to struggle with whether to tell Bob/Matty/anyone else.
I dunno. Not sure how Laurie would figure it out unless Primer were actually involved in the fight; her only way of recognizing him would be through his powers, right? Which is why presumably he wouldn't do that.
Possibly the BH's intention is to get Bobby alone, but Laurie ends up being around (um, cuz Bobby's secretly driving her to the Mall to secretly buy Matt a one-month-anniversary gift, or something?).

*nodnod* Laurie could easily just happen upon wherever Bob was being attacked, just have it be like in the alley behind a bookstore or something and she's there haha.
I think Laurie's main struggle will be whether or not to ask her mom who this fatherperson actually is- Gail never actually told her the name and Laurie goes to great pains to protect her mother from having to think about him. Bob or Matty or someone might actually have to tell her "Yeah uh so if your dad's the leader of the Brotherhood we're going to need to know his name whether it freaks your mom out or not." Once she made the connection she'd probably tell Bob and probably Matty pretty quickly, she equates Sean to like...defcon red the ultimate threat... and though she's sure Bob's going to hate her forever now will probably tell him so he doesn't go waltzing back in. Then whatever he wants to do with that information is up to him, Laurie isn't in a hurry to tell anyone else.
Also, also the fight scene gives me cause to wonder...does Bob not breathe in his Ice Body or whatever? 'Cause then he'd be immune to pheromones *nods*

Re: Bob's iceform...
Bob does, in fact, not breathe in his ice-form. In fact, he has no lungs, though he doesn't actually know that. The fact that he can talk is one of the many mysteries that is (are?) Bob.
So, yes indeed, immune to gas attacks of most sorts -- including pheromones, though he hasn't really made that connection in his head yet.
Nor does he eat, sleep, or perform other biological functions, though he hasn't quite yet figured that out either.
He's undoubtedly mentioned all of this to Primer; his ice-form freaks him out in a big way so he probably talks about it a lot. Also, Jugs report after the prison breakout probably confirms it. So Primer might plausibly infer Bob's immunity, or the connection might not have occurred to him either, however you wish.
Re: Laurie happening upon Bob -- sure, that works nicely. Let's do that. I'll set up Bob in the bookstore alley later today.
How does this sound, then: * BH bang on Bobby for a while; he fights the good fight but is ultimately overcome (in the process demonstrating immunity to Primer's pheromones)
* Laurie hears noises or whatever, comes out to see what's up, sees Rahne (apparently) about to rip defeated-Bob's head off, uses her powers to scare Rahne off
* Primer uses his powers to un-scare Rahne before realizing that this girl has to be Laurie, and decides to pull back the Brotherhood at this point rather than risk her figuring out who he is
* Except it's too late... Laurie figures out Primer's power and infers his identity. Bob and Laurie have A Talk on the matter, and we take it from there.
Sound good?
