It's been suggested that more plots would encourage more activity.
So I figured I'd put this thread here and let people start bouncing ideas around for plots.
Rules of the thread: This is a brainstorming thread; the idea is to encourage people to propose plot ideas. It is NOT to criticize ideas or to discuss their pros and cons or to argue about them. Anything goes, however silly or goofy or half-baked. Think of this as a whiteboard for jotting things down. We can spin off other threads to discuss pros and cons of various suggestions and turn them into a more workable form.

So, I thought I would try to contribute to the thread ideas in some way, since no one else seems jazzed up to do so. Now that I have more time to roleplay, I'm interested in seeing if we can't kick up the volume a bit, to take a phrase from Bob.
+ Soon I'll be starting the Onslaught plot. I'd like to get a quick show of hands on who's planning on participating, if only for logistics.
+ Josh is now taking classes at Columbia University in New York. Anyone who has a reason to be there is more than welcome to show up - or bump into him near campus. We're not making a new board for that, but anything should be filed under 'other other locales'.
+The school year has started. Consider it in session, though Storm will have a quick opening speech in the near future. I will assume everyone is present for that, though it's not necessary for you to chime in unless you want to. Therefore, classroom and training sessions are encouraged!
+ Anyone who graduated should probably be considering what their character is moving on to next. Nothing wrong with hanging around the Institute, but you should probably be doing something significant.

I'm up for Onslaught as Bobby and Warren. * raises two hands * (And could be as Rahne, I guess, though I'm not entirely sure how she'd get involved unless the BH as a whole did.)
======== In that context, I'm thinking "Evil Bob" will be decidedly less anti-killing-the-"bad guys" than normal Bob is; I'm likely to do a thread or two where he tracks down and kills some old enemies (e.g., Merrick).
Anyone who wants to be involved is welcome (either helping or trying to stop him or whatever), let me know.
======== Also in that context, Evil Bob is going to be more of a bully around the Institute -- not actively violent, but unpleasant/obnoxious in much the way John traditionally is. I'll probably kick off a few eBob-being-mean-to-NPCs threads; again, anyone who wants to respond will be welcome.
========

Quick idea, but it's about Jack.
Seeing how he's...well, not "human" in his "true form", per se, this could prove to be an interesting enough amount of threading where Jack, and possibly some other PC's agonize about what Jack really is all about.
Seeing how the "cure had worked" on him, and revealed his mutation to be the ability to change into human form, it raises the question of how does he get born like a werewolf in the first place.
I guess basically what this is is just an idea on getting Jack involved in some research, and perhaps hinting towards some new branch of mutations. Not meaning to insult Jack as a character by this, but it might prove that mutations, the "superpowers" don't just happen on humans- but also on animals.
It also might provide for an interesting spin-off where Jack gets either sick or give some kind of drugs that don't react well with him, and then in his Full Moon time, ends up biting, but not fully killing a random animal, and then we get a ton of animals changed into bewildered humans running around, as stupid as the idea might sound.
Just wanted to get all of my thoughts on this out...

Dude. I think that's pretty awesome!
I figured Jack's true form would be the cause of some speculation anyway, and it was only a matter of time before it started raising some questions or becoming the root of some problems. So, anyway, I think it's a pretty neat idea. I'm all over some healthy Jack torture. Heehee.

So seeing as I think we're all doing better on free time and we're finally back to the present how about a fun little plot? I've always thought it would be kind of cool to do a Mutant High field trip, maybe back to same museum they were visiting in X-2 which could give rise to some funny call backs ("Now, kids, come on, the staff has finally agreed to let us come back so everyone powers to yourselves!"). The field trip obviously goes awry in some way, maybe a small group decides they want to see more exciting things in the city than boring Neanderthal statues and takes off to Have Adventures. If the museum is in NYC the possibilities are pretty limitless. So yeah, obviously pretty vague. If anyone's interested as a chaperone, student, or even Brotherhood member looking to cause some minor mayhem and can post twice a week just toss some ideas in.

I suppose Warren as chaperone would make sense... sure, I'm in.

I think that sounds like fun. Count Josh or Storm in as a chaperone.

The comic book trope for trouble at museums involves dinosaur skeletons mysteriously coming to life... (grins)

Jack would come along, since he is a science teacher after all.
But I like the idea of some BH people stirring up trouble. You know Roger sure can in a hurry. XD

I like Laurie's idea. Combined with the right people taking off for more fun it would be interesting to see pan out. If I may ask, what's the Onslaught plot?

Well, it would be a good opportunity for me to whip out Chris, so he would be up either as a redundant chaperon, or just coming along for the purpose of learning more about the culture.
You know Danny would be on board with that as well.

Trips to museums = reanimated t-rex bones running around = new pets for Toni! Obviously Toni's totally in. And Matty will go because he's greatly amused at the thought of Toni trying to somehow get a t-rex skeleton through the museum doors without getting caught.

Ooh, that sounds like fun. Haha, I also like the sound of Toni's new "pet". But, what would she name it?
