Once back in the jet, Riley was feeling better. After making eye contact with Merrick, she had felt really weird all the way back to the jet. It didn't take to long for them to leave and were heading back to the mansion. The whole trip back, she was very spaced out, but once they had landed, she was back to normal again. I should really start sleeping some more during the night, instead going for little flights and walks.
Every one had gotten up and headed out of the jet. Before she could make it out, she could hear them all talking to someone. It took her a few seconds to reconize the voice, but she soon remembered who it belonged to, and it was Storm. Riley wondered how much in trouble they were in, but when Riley steped off of the jet, she noticed Storm smiling and was telling them they had done a good job. She then heard her asking if Marie and Josh wanted to join the X-men. Riley was glad for them, and was also kind of glad that Storm didn't ask her to join. She knew that she wasn't good enough for the team, and lately she hasn't been feeling comfortable around the mansion and tend to disappear often, with no one noticing.
Riley stood there listening to them, with her arms crossed on her chest, and was smiling at them. She was glad everyone was alright, and everything went good. But Riley was ready to leave them alone and go off and do her own thing.
