Bella watched Kurt as he remained silent, walking along side of him. He didn't seem to be upset at all, however just in contemplation. Of course this was true, that each person was like a shinning star that could not see the beauty in itself - that was unless you were of selfish nature. And no matter who you where in life you wanted to mean something to someone, even if it was one person. But then again there were some instances were hearts were hardened and normal feelings were rarely if ever felt, however this was not Kurt's case and it was not Bella's.
She was drawn back to the moment when he asked her if he could show her something and she smiled warmly, nodding, "Of course." She was excited in a way, glad that he trusted her this much. However she also knew that this could be something bad, something troublesome to him and it would probably sadden her but she would not let that be known to him. No matter what - be it good or bad - if he wanted her to know about some part of him or his life she was more than willing to experience it and except it.

Kurt was glad to see Bella so quickly agree to his request and smiled to show his gratitude and her trust in him not to harm her. He was about to do something, to let loose a piece of his private life to someone, a stranger of sorts and almost every fiber of his being begged him not to do something so potentially dangerous. However, Kurt ignored all those whisperings in his head and went with what his heart and soul wanted to do, to seek and win a friend. Kurt stopped and turned to face Bella, a smile on his face as he held out his hands for her to take, "Do not let go of me frauline...no matter how dazed you might feel," he said as his tail flicked about anxiously, showing his child like eagerness to tell a secret.
Teleporting someone was not necessarily easy for Nightcrawler, it took great concentration just for himself and with the added mass of another, he had to focus twice as hard to keep them together and not loose any part of them or himself in the process. However, Nightcrawler had many years of practice and experience in this department and anymore, it was almost second nature to teleport here and there so Bella was in no real danger.

Bella watched as Kurt stopped and turned towards her, extending out his hands for her to take. He told her not to let go, no matter.. And she reached out and took his hands keeping that in mind. Of course by now her senses were picking up on what was going to happen to her, or at least the assumption thereof. She knew, however that no matter what it was something she had not experienced yet.
She gave him a warm smile and nodded her head, "Alright, I wont." No matter what she knew she had to hold onto him. And she trusted that he would keep her safe on his end. He seemed more like a martyr and though they were just getting acquainted she was confident that she wouldn't have to worry around him. This put her at ease and let her mind slip from that anxiety that builds up inside of you when you face uncertainty. Not to mention the way his tail waved about made her smile broaden, showing excitement on his part.

It didn't take any coercion at all to convince Bella to trust him and Kurt in a way knew it wouldn't. She had already shown that she trusted in him by revealing parts of her past to him, and by the way she spoke, he knew he was privileged to be allowed such a glimpse. He would never betray what she had given him here, her trust, that he would protect with his life, just the same as he would protect her or any other here at the Institute. "Close your eyes and don't open them until I tell you. It'll make the trip easier for you," he said as Bella took hold of his hands firmly, and then quickly, not letting her expect it, Kurt pulled her close and wrapped his arms around her and then *BAMF*, both were gone in a haze of purple black smoke.
*BAMF* Kurt and Bella reappeared in Kurt's room, one that only his eyes had seen. It was not overly large, more akin to that of one of the dorms the students might share but it was more than enough for him. A small bed was pushed into the corner of the room, a simple purple quilt draped over top of it and almost touching the floor. There was of course a bookshelf with many old books lined up and some stacked in the floor in front of it. Along the walls was several picture frames, each housing old newspaper clippings from Germany no doubt, each showing the Munich circus and its performers. Kurt himself graced many of these pictures, each one showing him performing some crazy death defying stunt. Then in one particular corner, was a small altar with several half melted candles and a small cross situated in the middle.
"You can open your eyes Fraulein," he said softly as he let go and backed away from Bella, glancing about his own room, "Your the first person to ever be in here, ze Professor said he vould keep it locked and safe for me vhen I last left," he said with a bit of a nervous tone in his voice, unsure how Bella would react to what he was giving her.

Bella felt Kurt's grip on her tighten and suddenly he pulled her close to him, wrapping his arms around her. It was instinct to do the same, holding tightly as she suddenly was teleported for the first time...
It was definitely odd, at first it was like her whole body felt crushed, balled together into non existence, then after what seemed like forever and then again only a second .. It was like a big wave or explosion. She was whole again and as was the world around her. She felt like she had imploded, becoming non existent, then somehow exploded back to her old self, well... that was yet to be known.
Her head spun for a minute, trying to track down sense of direction and a feel for some sort of stability. These feelings only made her cling to Kurt a bit tighter, that sick feeling you get off of a wild roller coaster, but this time it was like you were blind.
This whole unpleasantness started easing up and she let go a little, not completely - not until he said. And the feeling was definitely coming back to the rest of her body, a solid ground felt underneath her feet. She took a deep breath and she heard Kurt's voice and felt him backing up. For a moment she started to protest but by now she was feeling much better.
She opened her eyes, her focus coming in quicker than she had expected and gave him a faint smile, still getting a bit more adjusted. She blinked her eyes just a few times as she glanced around the room, hearing that the Professor had kept it locked up for him. Her smile broadened, "He knew you were coming back." She stated simply more to herself than him.
At first she didn't know what could be messed with and what couldn't. After all this was his private refuge at the school. However she soon found herself walking to the wall and observing the clips from papers, being as she didn't have to openly move anything to look at them. Her blue eyes scanned each picture carefully, easily finding him in each one. "Wow. These are really amazing. You all must have had quiet an act." She turned to him giving him a warm smile, "It's really nice up here. I'm glad that you brought me." She motioned to the bookshelf, "I take it you like to read?"

Kurt stood back and let Bella look about of her own free will, watching where her curiosity would take her first. He smiled as she examined the newspaper clippings and bowed his head as she complimented he and his family for their accomplishments. "Those were good days," he said softly as he remembered the better times of a past long gone by, one never to return. Kurt had not seen his adopted family in years and he figured his foster mother to be dead by now, a fact he came to terms with years ago.
He was glad to see Bella move to the bookcase next, for it showed that she too held an appreciation for literature. Of course, most of the books here were old pirate stories and even a romance novel or two. Kurt had softer side to him and stories of the chivalrous hero coming to fair damsels aid entertained him and gave him something to escape into when the pressures of the real world proved a bit too much. "Books are the most priceless artifacts in the vorld," he said as he took a few steps closer to the bookshelf, reaching out and tracing one large and long finger across a spine of a random book placed on one of the shelves. "It is not as grand as the library here, but it is enough for me," he said smiling softly as he admired the few priceless collections that stood before him, "Do you like to read Fraulein?," he asked suddenly as he turned his head to see Bella, catching his breath momentarily as he saw up close and personal her true beauty and radiance.

Bella had moved up to the bookshelf and her eyes roamed across the spines, some bearing age and wear - a good sign that they had not been neglected. She smiled as she saw the selections that his library had to offer.. Never would she have guessed. Or actually perhaps it was almost obvious. I mean after all he seems sensitive and kind.. Well to sum it up too good to be true.
She heard his voice and she shook her head a little bit, "It's not the size of something but the value of that matters. I mean, after all you cant weight something out by comparison on one level. I see no need for a huge library if it doesn't contain the stories I love so dear."
He asked her if she liked to read and she nodded, "Drama mostly. I like quiet a bit of Shakespeare, my favorite of his being Othello because it was so tragic." Bella liked romance but just pure romance seemed too much of a lie to her, leading women on to get their hopes built up for some shinning prince that would ride in on a white horse and carry them away to a land where everything was going to be okay. She found out at a very young age that that was never going to happen. "You like romance?" She gave him a slight grin as she looked his way, wondering if he would become embarrassed by this speculation.

Kurt couldn't help but smile and turn his gaze back to the bookshelf and quickly to the section of books she referred to with her statement. If he could have turned red, it would have been now, "Vell yes," he said with a small laugh knowing he was busted, "You von't fault a mutant for liking a bit of romance vould you?," he asked her as he turned his head slightly, his yellow eyes searching her for an answer. He figured she would tease him a little but knew it wouldn't go too far and that she wouldn't dare tell anyone what she saw here, after all, she had trusted him with one of her big secrets.
Turning his attention back to the bookshelf once again, Kurt ran his finger back and forth among the rows, looking for something in particular. "Ah," he said as found what he was looking for, a book bearing a collection of Shakespeare's sonnets, "I think you may enjoy reading some of these," he said as he pulled the book carefully from its home and offered it to Bella, "A gift to a new found friend," he said as he smiled at her, his yellow eyes locked onto her blue ones, hoping she would accept his gift.

She couldn't tell if he was embarrassed by her comment or not but he had a smooth way of covering it up. The comment, or question made her laugh a little, "No, of course not. If anything at all it just makes me think that much more of you. After all most guys these days believe it to be some sort of disease to be avoided at all costs." She let her voice just drift away, hoping that it didn't come across that she was insulting the 'masculine' gender. People were who they were by what they chose to be, not what they were born as.
He picked a book out, a collection of Shakespeare sonnets and she smiled brightly, accepting the book with one hand and moving close to put the other about his neck as she hugged him, gratefully. "Thank you. I'm sure I'll love it." She stepped back and looked down to the book, her eyes roaming the cover. She looked back up at him, her eyes narrowed in thought for a minute, "I bet you like the plays too then, don't you?"

Kurt was a bit taken back by Bella's hug, but enjoyed the action none the less. "Thank you," he muttered as she pulled back away, smiling at her own comment. It was true that some of the male gender today avoided emotion and romance like the plague, but Kurt tried not to be trapped by stereotyping and enjoyed what he enjoyed. Maybe if others were to seek what they truly were, then everyone might be a bit happier in this world.
"Ah, the plays," he said as if Bella had hit onto something he was very comfortable discussing, "I used to read some of them to the children in our camp years ago. I made the mistake of reading "A Mid-Summer's Nights Dream" to them once and then after that I'm afraid I vas eternally known as Puck," he said with a short laugh and as he ran his hand through is dark blue hair, "So, yes, I do enjoy the plays as vell, even if my library is void of them," he said as he glanced to the bookshelf quickly, noting he had much work to do to get it back into acceptable shape.

She gave a slight laugh as he mentioned reading 'A Mid-summer Night's Dream' to the kids and what they dubbed his as afterwards. And just beneath her smile you could see the tip of her tongue pressed gently between her teeth, something she did as a child when stifling a laugh and something rarely seen in her now. "I meant also going to them. You know, seeing live plays." She had assumed that he would probably like them too.. However she was curious if he often indulged in visiting the live plays, reenactments of these stories.
And Bella did know that he might not have ever attended one.. I mean it was a possibility given the fact that he tends to stand out within a crowd. Still she would show no indication that he wasn't normal - she wasn't used to normal anymore and to her it was the oddity. Either way she wanted to encourage him indulging in things that he liked, be it books - plays - whatever, no matter how others may chose to perceive them. After all you have to try to live your life the way you want and if you aren't satisfied, well at least then you know that you weren't the one to blame.

Kurt looked away again from Bella as she asked about seeing a live play. He knew she looked at him differently and the questions she asked where harmless and meaningless, well, to her anyway. "I'm afraid I do not get out much Fraulein, for obvious reasons," he said turning back to her with a forced smile as his tail peaked over his shoulder and waved back and forth, "I am afraid the rest of the world is still not ready for those who share my......fate," he said choosing his words carefully, "Besides," he added with a shrug of his shoulders, "I think I would distract from the actors on stage and deny people the real entertainment there," he continued with a small laugh, trying to cover up his sadness.
Kurt thought about what Bella had said in the courtyard just a few moments ago and glanced away toward the small altar in the corner of his room and then back to Bella, "Please do not mistake my reasons for cowardice or pity Fraulein, its just that.....well.....the time for those like myself is just not here," he said trying to explain his situation. Mutants were still not openly accepted by all humans yet so those who shared his physical altercations were certainly not ready to be seen walking about and this was something Kurt had to deal with and come to terms with.

Bella pressed her lips together as he made the comment about not getting out much and that he believed he would distract from the ones on stage. While that was probably true surely there were ways about it to keep from drawing too much attention. Like maybe acquiring seats on a private balcony...
She shook her head as me tried to explain his actions and words - or at least make sure that she didn't take them as signs of self pity. "No, I don't think that. I know you are not the type of person and although I feel out-casted you must deal with so much more." She gave a faint smile, still hoping that somehow she would give him some reassurance, "And I have been to see many plays, Broadway musicals, to classics stories, and even those so well written by Shakespeare. However I'm not going to see another one until you agree to go with me." She gave him a half grin and a challenge. Sure it could be done, and perhaps not as bothersome as it would seem. And it wasn't like she had to see another play.. ever.. in however many years there were to come for her. She just left that option open up to him.
Her eyes widened in slight realization of something, "I forgot that I was supposed to meet someone this evening.. I'm really sorry but I better be heading back now." She looked to the door in contemplation, no.. that would be bad. That would look bad... Just walking out of a guys room. Or would it? I mean surely they people around knew Bella was quiet conservative. She wasn't the type to do things of a questionable nature. Either way she glanced back at Kurt to let him respond before slipping off and on her way to meet Kitty.

Kurt smiled at Bella's comment and took her words to be truth, so in a rash act, he answered her, "Far be it from me from keeping you from what you love," he said with a soft smile, "Perhaps I can speak with Ororo and see if the Institute can procure a private balcony at the theater," he said as he glanced away and then back, his mind working on some sort of solution. When his eyes fell back to Bella, she spoke of another previous engagement. Kurt noticed how her eyes glanced to the door and then back to him, noting the question which lingered in her gaze. "Then one more time," he said as he offered his hands once again, "That is unless you would rather use the door?," he asked her with a smile as his tail flipped about anxiously once again, waiting for her to take hold of him.

It was obvious that Bella's face lit up when Kurt gave into her request, well.. Was that really a request? She had just simply stated a fact that involved him in the outcome. She smiled brightly and nodded, "That would be nice." Besides anymore who did she have to go with? And he shared a love for the arts, such as that. So really, why should she indulge in something that he also enjoys knowing that he is going to be left out of?
He made the comment about her using the door and actually that wasn't a bad idea.. However before she had time to react (thank God) he offered his hands again. O, way too tempting to resist - by why and which part she wouldn't tell. Bamfing gave her a kind of sick feeling for a moment, an extremely sick and unstable feeling.. But then as with most things she got a slight rush of adrenaline, excitement - perhaps because she was ok. But that wasn't the reason she couldn't decline his offer...
She took one of his hands and stepped up, the book he gave her secured tightly in the other hand. And since it was going to happen anyway (right?) she went ahead and pulled up against him, holding tightly. Strangely enough, though she could feel her breath and her heart beat, as her cheek lay against him, she was calm. She knew what was to come and perhaps that should make her more skiddish.. but it didn't. And surely after they parted ways she would be wondering when he would turn up again, at least in her company.
