Riley was walking along a path through a forest, in the middle of the night. She was on her way to the Brotherhood hide out. Magneto had told her where it was, and she knew right away she wanted to get away from the school and to be apart of the Brotherhood, since Magneto was able to open her eyes to other things.
What on Earth am I doing here? For several years I had agreed with the Professor's veiw on the world and how it should look like, and within a minute I agreed with Magneto that he was right. What is wrong with me?
It was about a few weeks after what had happened at the docks. Riley had been accept by Magneto to join the Brotherhood, but she still wasn't 100% sure that she was now on the right side. For some reason, Riley just felt like she belonged more with the Brotherhood then with the other students at the school. All the years there, she felt out of place, because she was a resident there, but never attend the class. So she was basically like the school ghost there. Riley tired to be apart of the school by helping out and try making friends, but it didn't really work. Sure she helped saved a few lives, but she still wasn't noticed. No one bothered to come up to her and try talking to her, or if she felt like hanging out with them and go some where, but no did that. It was always Riley going up to them and she began to hate it, and felt like no one really liked her. Maybe that was the reason why it didn't take to long for her to join the Brotherhood, or it could have been something else.
Several thoughts from her past came back to her mind. No one on earth knew about her past, except the people that were there with her at the time and Xavier, whom had used his telepathy to see her past, because she didn't want to say it out loud, but they are all dead now. Riley remembered the night of her parents murder. She was only six at the time, but she could it remember it very vividly, since it changed her life forever. It was a peaceful and ordinary night. Her parents had put her to bed and they were in their own bed reading or talking to each other. After about an hour or so they finally turned off their lights and went to sleep. Riley was sound asleep, but then she suddenly woke up to the sound of screaming. It was her mother. Riley had no idea why her mother would be screaming, and since she was only six, she didn't quite understand things very well. So she got out of bed and went running to her parents bedroom to find out why her mother was screaming. As soon as she reached the door to her parents bedroom, which was half way opened, she saw blood all over the blankets, and there was her father. He wasn't moving at all and there was blood all over him. She also noticed that his leg and one of his arms were in a weird angle, when she was older she realized that some of his limbs was actually cut off and that's why their looked weird. Riley wanted to go running up to him, but before she did, she saw something moving in one of the corners of her parents bedroom. It was a big man, holding a knife. There on the floor infront of him was her mother, whom was trapped in the corner and screaming. She also had some blood on her, it would have been Riley's father's blood, but her mother had a few cuts on her. All of a sudden the man grabbed her mother and cut off one of her feet, and her mother was screaming at the top of her lungs. Riley wanted to scream after seeing that, but not a single sound came out of her, only tears. The man cut her mother several times, before he finally killed her, by slicing her across the neck. Riley was in absolute horror and when she noticed the man now turning around to leave, she ran quickly, but quietly, and hid. The man was about to enter her bedroom, when there was suddenly sirens. He left the house through the back door. The police finally came and were in the house. They found Riley's parents dead and in several pieces in their bedroom, with blood all over the place. Once of them noticed Riley's room, and went on a search for her, to she if she managed to survive, but they mostly thought that she was killed as well. To their surprise they found her hiding in her closet. Tears were streaming down her face, and she was hugging her favorite stuffed animal, with a horror look on her face. Since she didn't have any other relatives, they sent her to an orphanage. Riley wasn't able to sleep for over a month.
With that memory in her head, a couple of tears appeared, and were rolling down the sides of her cheeks. Quickly Riley shook her head to get rid of the memory and whiped the tears away. What the hell! Why do I always have to remember this? I thought I had buried this way back in my mind, so that it would never resurface again. The forest soon opened up and was now showing an old run down house. In a few of the windows she could see some lights on, and a bit of movement. Riley now started to head for the front door.
Another memory came to her mind. It was when she had ran away from the orphanage. She was wandering around on the streets, starving, because she hadn't eaten for about a week. She then ran into a girl, who was a few years older then her. Riley remembered seeing the girl several times before, and noticed that she had been watching her a couple of times. The girl began to talk to her. She asked when was the last time she had eaten, and Riley answered her. Right away, the girl told her to follow her, so Riley did, since she had no where else, and didn't care what happened to herself. They soon came to an old abandond wharehouse. When Riley entered, she saw several other people there, that was either the same age as the girl or older. They were all over the place, and had several things there, some things looked old while others looked new and they were all friendly. That place became Riley's home for several years. Everyone there became her family and they all looked out for each other, but they kept a really close eye on Riley, because she was the youngest. Riley had learned that they were a gang, that stole several things to stay alive, but they never murdered anyone, even though they had several weapons. The gang had a few enemies, which was several other gangs, because they wanted to expand their territory and so there was a war going on between them. They had taught Riley their way of life and how to fight. After time, Riley became extremly good, and was just as good as the leader of the gang. When they wanted to steal from a store or some ones home, they would always get Riley to do it, since she was the smaller one and the best too. Riley had a good time with them, and was begining to think that things were finally going good for her, but that soon ended. One day, in the middle of a robbery that they had planed for a week, an other gang decided to attack them. At the time it was only Riley and three other gang members, because they thought that the least amount of people robbing a place is a lot more better then having the whole gang there. Since Riley and the others were out numbered, they ran for it. While running, one of them got shot, so Riley and the other two kept running, because they couldn't risk stopping to help him. Quickly the other two gang members told Riley to run to get help, while they tried to distract the other gang, or lead them in another direction. So Riley ran for her life to the abandoned wharehouse, and quickly told the others what had happened. Right away everyone went to go help them. When they got there, both of the gang members that was with Riley were shot, one was dead and the other was dying. There was a huge fight between the two gangs. There was shooting, people being stabbed, beatting the shit out of each other. It went on for several hours, but it felt like eternity to Riley. While fighting, she saw her friends and family falling to the ground one by one, along with a few members of the other gang, but some how they had more people, then the gang that Riley was in. Soon it was down to only Riley and the rest of the other gang. In a flash, Riley was hit in the head with a pipe, and everything went black. She woke up, after several hours, and found herself surrounded by her dead friends and family. It was a huge mess. It looked like a huge masacure had taken place. The other gang just left them there, but they took their own dead with them. So Riley quickly left. She had to get away from everything. She couldn't believe it, just when she thought everything was going good, everyone had to die.
With these memories, rage started building up inside her. She started to feel more hatred towards the humans, or what Magneto like to call them homo-sapiens. Whenever she thought something was going good for her and her life was improving, the homo-sapiens had to come in and ruin everything. Well now it was her turn, and they better watch out. Riley was now at the door of the old house. She knocked on it, waitting for someone to answer it. Now Riley was begining to understand why, she joined Magneto's side so quickly. It was because of the things that happened in her past and she wanted to give the people the same treatment that she had gotten from them. If she had stayed at the school, she would of continued on protecting the people that had killed her family and friends.
No more!
