Hanging Out (Open)

It was a really long day, and very hot outside. So Riley stuck to staying inside, since it was to hot to go for her usual walks. She was wandering around through the halls of the school, but since it was the weekend, there was people every where.
She had gone to the library to hope to have some quiet time, but that didn't last for to long. The reason why, was that a group of girls walked into the room and were chatting away none stop. So Riley had to find a place to get away.

While going to several rooms, finding them full of students and they were all very loud. Riley was begining to think that she was never going to find a nice quiet and relaxing spot. She soon made her way up to the attic.

On her way up, she noticed it was begining to get quieter and quieter. She remembered that there was a rec room up there and wondered if anyone still used it. Riley soon reached the rec room, and to her surprise there was no one else in there.

Riley walked around the room a bit, to figure out what to do. She then stopped at the pool table and set it up. She hadn't played pool in a long time and thought it would be a good idea, to see if she was still good at it or might just be very rusty at it.

Once she finished setting it up, she then grabbed one of the sticks and began to play.

Jubilee was wondering around, not sure of what to do, she passed the rec room and looked in, she saw Riley, table set up, cue in hand, she walked over and cleared her throat, "hiya Riley," she said, she looked at the bool table and and an idea went off in her head, she half expected a cartoon lightbulb to appear beside her. "Hey, do you wanna play pool, Jubilee style?" she giggled and several coloured ball of energy appeared in her now outsretched hand. "It'll be fun, I promise."

Jubilee liked Riley, especially after Riley had carried her unconscious body away from the weird cat guy. She turned on her mp4 player, set it to a volume at which she couls still hear what Riley was saying and waited for an answer. She had been dying to play pool her way for ages, but noone ever wanted to, the balls of energy were now twirling in midair, she was carefull to keep them away from any electricl equipment, as she knew very well what would happen, she grimaced on the inside as she thought back to what had happened to so many mp3 players, cell phones, palm pilots and computers... She doubted that the school could afford to pay for any more of her damages...

Definitely not here...

During the whole day Lumen had been trying to find a certain person and no matter how many rooms she searched in, they were filled with people and no sign of the person there. Maybe she had passed one of the room and not looked carefully enough but after having spent the day running around the institute, a little rest time was deserved.

Okay, so going to the attic was not really a brake since it was just walking even more, but the rec room had those little arcade machines that were always fun. After finally reaching the place she looked around, no one was in sight except for Riley and... Jubilee. Luck wasn't really in her favor today. In this case, Jubilee was the problem. It wasn't that she couldn't stand the other mutant... it was just that life in the institute was unfair! They basically had very alike powers, yet Jubilee could use her powers as she pleased. The whole show of firework pool was proof. As for Lumen, one little power trick and it was punishment time. But it wasn't the time to start an argument about power usage, after all Riley was becoming a good new friend and there was no way Lumen was going to ruin that. She waved at Riley and said in a cheery tone, "Hi Riley. What chu doing?" while walking towards the pool table.

Not to long after she started playing, Riley heard someone walking into the room. When she looked up, she noticed Jubilee standing there. "Hey Jubileee. How are you doing?" she asked her. Riley remembered the last time she saw her, she had brought her back to the mansion the day they met Sherridan.

Riley heard Jubilee ask her, if she wanted to play pool, Jubilee style. She thought about it for a moment and thought it wouldn't hurt. "Sure, why not." she said with a smile.

"So how do you play?" she asked her. Riley wasn't really sure how they were going to play pool, Jubilee style, but thought it would be very interesting. Not to long after she asked her the question, she heard someone else enter the room and looked over to noticed it was Lumen.

Riley smiled at her as she entered and walked more towards them. She then heard her asking her a question. "Hey Lumen. Nothing much really, just about to play pool, Jubilee style. Do you want to join us?" she asked her. She really hoped that she would say yes, cause it's always more fun to play games with more people.

[Lumen]

Jubilee style? Just great. Lumen wasn't jealous. No, not at all. Not even the side of her that wanted Northstar to appear so he could punish Jubilee.

Wait.

No, that wasn't supposed to happen because she hated Northstar and wouldn't befriend even for that reason. Besides, los chotas mueren en la calle. Anyway... back to the original plan anyway.

"I'll play." She said, smiling as well, or at least trying her best to smile. It had to look forced though, Lumen had never been that good at the "pretending" thing, on the contrary if she just had to stand there spacing out while having mental arguments then it wouldn't require much of an effort.

Jubilee looked at them both and cleared the balls from the table, "Well," she said, "Insted of balls, we use these" at that she extended her hand and a set of energy balls appeared on the table, "Each of them has a different amount of energy in them, and when u hit them enough, they go boom." She stepped back and closed the door, "We don't want anyone with any form of authority seeing this do we?"

Jubilee looked at Riley and Shayla, "The ones who make the most, and teh biggest scorch-marks win. I won't be playing, as I already know the details about each ball, but itll be fun to watch you two."

Riley smiled at Lumen. She was glad that she was going to play as well. Riley hated leaving people out of things and always wanted people to have fun. With the look on Lumen's face, she could tell that she didn't really want to play, but was still going to play anways.

Then Riley heard Jubilee clearing the balls off the table and she helped her out with it. Soon Jubilee began to explain the game, and Riley listened carefully. As she explained the game, she watched her as she showed them the energy balls that they would be using.

"Alright. It doesn't sound to hard. But just to warn you, I might jump the first few times, until it get use to the boom and flashes." she told them with a smile. Riley was glad that they were getting along with each other well so far and couldn't wait to start the game. "Lumen do you want to go first?" she asked her.

*BAMF* Nightcrawler teleported into the room, sticking to the place where the wall and roof met. He was crouched as always and seemed just as surprised to find someone actually using the room as no doubt the inhabitants would be to see him. His long blue tail flicked about as he looked from one girl to the next, a look of confusion on his face as he then let his bright yellow eyes settle on the energy balls and cue sticks. "Something tells me that Ororo vould not approve of vhat you three young ladies are doing," he said with a slight sigh before letting his smile slip through.

*BAMF* and he was gone again, only to reappear beside Riley in a cloud of blackish purple smoke, looking over her shoulder as his tail cautiously approached one of the energy balls, attempting to poke at it, "Vhat exactly are three doing anyvay?," he asked, not knowing if he was going to regret poking the energy ball Jubilee had created.

(OOC: Since Lumen isn't Rping anymore, let's just say, she changed her mind about playing and left.)

Before getting ready to start, Riley heard a bamf noise. It was very familiar and she began to look around the room. Riley knew that Kurt was in the room, but she wasn't sure where. She couldn't find him, until he spoke and she looked up and found him. She smiled at him. "I don't think so either, but that's what makes it fun." she told him, still smiling.

The next think Riley knows, is that there is a cloud of purple smoke where Kurt was. Then there was purple smoke right beside her and so was Kurt. She noticed his tail heading towards the energy ball. "I wouldn't touch it, if I were you." she warned him. Riley knew what happens, with the energy balls and didn't want Kurt to get hurt.

Then Riley remembered the question that Kurt asked them. "Well Jubilee made up a game, and were just going to play it. Do you want to join in?" she asked him. She always like getting people involved with any game that was being played. It was always more fun, with more people. Riley hoped that he would say yes and join them, and that he wasn't going to go tell Storm what they had been up too, even though she had done a lot worse.

Kurt's tail stopped just short of one of the balls of energy, taking Riley's word that he didn't want to mess with them in that way. He slowly pulled his tail back and let it sway here and there casually, as usual. He gave a quick glance to Riley and smiled at her, thankful for her invitation and her attempt to make him feel welcome around her and her friends, "Nein, but thank you," he said with a mix of German and English as he backed away from Riley, giving Jubilee a side glance. Kurt was content enough to simply sit back and watch, after all, he enjoyed watching others enjoy themselves far more than he did of having fun himself, of course, this didn't mean he wouldn't participate if he wanted to. Kurt was still a stranger here, in a way, and the life he had lived in the old country was a different one from the life he now lived in and he was still getting used to such a drastic change.

Moving away from the area where the charged balls of energy where, Kurt nodded to Riley and winked at Jubilee, "Don't vorry, I don't think Ororo needs to know about everything zat goes on around here," he said with a devious smile as he crouched down onto the floor and laughed a little.

Jubilee looked at Kurt and smiled, at least some of the adults around here were cool. "Come on, Nightcrawler, play with us. I promise that there'll be bright lights and flashes... Very glitzy..."

Jubillee rested her hands on the pool table and the balls levitated a few inches in the air. "Pleeeease..." she begged, and the balss of ligth started to dance around.
