It was early enough in the day that the students were in class, which left many rooms open and available to enjoy with out the constant chatter.. And Bella found herself pulled to the library. She usually liked to read in her room but something about the extra space gave her a feeling of .. well, clean and roomy air. No matter, because either way it was just a change of environment and she thought it highly unlikely that she would be disturbed in here. It was a place to let her mind slide from the norm, from her body should you say. Of course I am sure that most understand, how in your natural environment you tend to focus on your life in the here and now and when you are sitting in a room rarely visited (at least when it comes to spending much time in there) well it was easier to slip away from yourself.. Which is exactly what she was trying to do as she propped her arm on the table before her, pushing her fingers through her hair as she let her palm cradle the side of her head.
Today she wore a loose flowing white blouse and a long black skirt. Of course the thin framed glasses, barely noticeable, setting neatly on her face only gave added effect to the whole adult/librarian look. But right now she hardly cared.. And if it wasn't for the design of her shirt she may have reminded you of an old lady.. But then again isn't that just what she is? Even if she doesn't flaunt her age and the ability she has to conceal it..
Her blue eyes scanned over one line and then the next, the images coming to life by description of words that were hardly noticeable due to her active imagination. Of course she had to see them to some extent but they seemed to blur into the background. Her fingers slipped in between the pages as she readied to turn to the next one, the paper feeling thick between her fingers and this pulled at her attention and yet slipped from it at the same time. Usually real life wasn't as good as one you could control, one you could stop if something became most unbearable - and indeed reading a book was like living a life of choice.. However every now and again, ever so rarely, something would stumble into your life and there was no book or story that could be read to capture the feelings truly felt by the involved individuals..

Kurt was never one to confine himself to the usual grind of the floor or even the proper sitting furniture and so with that said, it wasn't really that unusual to find him perched on top of one of the rather large oak bookcases in the library. He wore a pair of brown courdoury wide bottom pants and a black hoodie, an outfit which he only wore when he dared venture outside the institute grounds. Bella had sparked something in him as of late and in an attempt to satisfy both her and himself, Kurt had been venturing and mixing with the general populace more and more as of late, but still choosing to keep most of himself from their judgmental eyes....after all, the world still wasn't quite ready for the whole blue skin and jagged teeth thing.
His tail, another thing he did his best to keep hidden when in public, swayed back and forth in a slow steady rhythm as he tilted his head to the side, smiling and looking down on the lovely Belladonna below him. She was his infatuation, the very thought and creature which swam through his mind every waking second of the day, his Helen of Troy one might say. Never had Kurt seen anything so lovely, so....fair...so....perfect, a far cry from what he himself was but even with that said, Bella still showed him something of.....what? Love maybe? She treated him as if he were normal....like the others, not saying that the others didn't treat him nice, but they treated him like a mutant and Bella treated him like....well.....she treated him the way a woman treats a man she loves and that was perhaps the single greatest thing Kurt had ever experienced in his life.
With a smile, Kurt leaned over forward, getting a better look at Bella as she rested below, reading something he couldn't make out but her book wasn't what interested him right now, it was her. The perfume she wore danced across his sense of smell, relaxing him all the more and filling his need of her only breifly, leaving him wanting more of her in the end. "Guten abend fräulein," Kurt said softly but loud enough for Bella to hear, after all, he didn't want to scare her, well...maybe just a little, after all, Kurt did enjoy a good laugh now and again.

Bella was wrapped up in her story of Robin Caruso and hadn't even noticed Kurt behind her until his soft voice pulled her attention back to the present. Perhaps if it had not been German then she would have paid little mind to it at all. His comment made her head turn swiftly up, first not looking for anything in particular at all because it had came from behind her. She paused for a moment her breathing becoming fainter as she waited to see if this were some hallucination or if it were real. And with that thought she turned her head slowly behind her - so not to look a fool if no one was there - to find Kurt perched on top of a book case not far from her.
She understood little of his words at times but could pick up that he was greeting her and that he addressed her as a lady. A smile was her first reply as her eyes landed on his. His attire was much different but it suited him well.
"Tag, Kurt." Alright she wasn't extremely fluent but being around a while lets you pick up certain phrases, not to mention the sudden interest she found in it. She figured since she wasn't fluent she would at least concentrate on the correct punctuation.
She turned a little, pushing herself from the table as she looked at him. "Where you looking for a good book to read?" Alright that may have been a lame way to break the ice.. But still Bella was quiet meek and even more so around him - usually - because she didn't want to offend him. And though she was sure that he had a very forgiving nature she didn't want to take advantage of it. She motioned to the chair beside of her, "You can sit with me.. You don't have to stay up there." She gave a smile, almost a laugh but it was so faint it could barely be seen, "Unless that is you want to."

Kurt smiled and nodded his head in return to Bella's German reply. He knew she was trying to accomadate him somewhat, but even something as small as one word meant the world and spoke volumes. Bella was in a class by herself when it came to Kurt, sure he loved the others here and respected them, but what he felt for Bella was on a whole different level of love.....he believed that he genuinely loved her...or rather he knew he did. She looked at him with different eyes, the same eyes it seemed in which he looked at the world and the way she urged him to be himself, to not be ashamed of how he looked, only attracted him to her even more. Bella saw Kurt for Kurt and not for the physical creature he was....something that few others could do.
A small laugh and quick nodd of his head was all Bella got in response to her offer before he disappeared with a *BAMF* and in a cloud of purple black smoke before reappearing once again in the same manner, perched on the chair next to her, a smile still on his face and his tail flipping about excitedly. "Actually fräulein, I vas just about to go out," he said hesitantly, "and I hoped you vould accompany me....perhaps to the coffee shop down in town?," he asked her, doing his best not to appear too nervous and trying not to fumble with his words. Kurt had a surprise for Bella, something the two of them had discussed a while back. She had promised to attend a play with him, just as long as he went as himself, unashamed, and while that part took a great deal of courage, he found getting the tickets to be far easier. It seemed Hank had private balcony at the local theater and was more than happy to oblige Kurt the favor.

It still surprised Bella a little when Kurt teleported, no matter how long she knew this now or how long she had been at the institute. She couldn't travel that way and it was still amazing to witness.. But that's what made everyone here special - they were gifted with the ability to do things others couldn't. Some chose to abuse this, thus running off to join some group of elitists or radicals.. And she wasn't tooting her own horn either because she didn't see her mutation as very useful, not unless it was to be abused and Bella didn't believe in that.
Either way his sudden appearance next to her made her smile, turning her full attention to him as he explained that he was going out. She didn't noticed him fumbling over words if he had. However it really hit her attention when he talked about going to a coffee shop. Hadn't he been the one skiddish about going out into the world? Perhaps listening to her perspective, hearing her encouragement had changed the way he approached things. You couldn't change the way that others saw you, well not by some form of magic of force, but that didn't mean that it was right for you to feel as if you should be ashamed of something you ought not.
And she answered only after a seconds hesitation, not that she didn't want to go - quiet the contrary- she was just taken back by the whole idea.. It was great. "Yeah.. I'd love to." She tried to not sound too anxious and at the same time not sound like she was in doubt. "That would be really nice." She gave him a nod of her head and a smile that was rarely so genuine, well at least not when it came to showing off a form of excitement.
She tried to make a mental note to mark the page in her book but she was looking forward to leaving so much that the book shut softly without such. And at the moment that was the least of her worries. She gathered her things together and stood, not trying to rush him and trying to act casual as if just getting ready. "I didn't know that you liked coffee.." And really she couldn't see him drinking it.. But she wouldn't sit and argue that.

Kurt couldn't help but laugh at himself lightly, glancing down, but then quickly turning his eyes up to keep sight of Bella's loveliness. "Vell, coffee isn't really my thing....but I've seen you drinking it and thought you might....," he said turning his eyes down again and smiling. Kurt was as nervous as schoolboy asking the head cheerleader to go to the prom with him. His tail dipped down slightly as Kurt put all his focus into the moment and what he was doing. He had spent too much time setting all this up to let it all go to waste now and if he didn't act now, then he might not ever get the chance to let Bella know how he really felt for her and that ladies and gentlemen would be the real tragedy of Kurt Wagner's life.
"I just thought it vould be nice to be together....avay from the Institute....zomething like a.....date," he said as he raised his head and eyes to meet Bella, his heart beating so hard that he thought it might burst from his chest any moment. Every instinct and thought within Kurt's mind was telling him to run away and never look back, but Kurt's heart was telling him otherwise and now it seemed, the conquering of his fears was leading to a more confident Kurt Wagner...albeit a small change, but it was still a change none the less. "I have something I vish to talk vith you about....but later...and not here," he said trying to reassure the moment and seal the deal, even though it was obviously already sealed.
