Kitty had walked into the rec room just looking for a place to relax. She had just spent three hours in the danger room running through routines and she was exhausted. She had considered going up to her room to just sleep, but blew that idea off with the fact that it was still the middle of the day. Instead she had come here hoping to find it empty and get the opportunity to watch a bit of TV or something.
She sat on the couch letting her long brown hair fall across the back of it as she laid her head back. She was back in her jean and t-shirt now and though it was comfortable, she still felt a bit odd. It was a feeling she hadn't been able to shake for the past few days. Almost as if something had happened that she was unaware of, or something was about to happen.
She flipped the TV on though she wasn't paying ant attention to it. She was engrossed in her own thoughts which revolved around her current problem and the ominous feeing that something big was going to happen. Closing her eyes she tried to best to relax letting the stress leave her body, but it wasn't working. She was still stressed and had almost no idea why.

Bella had been walking by the rec room, the steady clicking and changing of channels clearly indicating that someone was indeed just passing time and hoping that something on the telly would end their boredom. However when it stopped she didn't think much about it, glancing in to see Kitty's long brown hair draped over the back of the couch. She inhaled, something striking her as odd at the moment. Let's say it's intuition, a pull that she should divert her attention, and path for a moment to see what was going on.
Bella liked Kitty, and talked to her more so than the other students, however, it had been some time since they talked. Bella herself had many interesting turn of events going on in her life and even if she didn't discuss them openly just the thought of talking to someone for a while would help ease that feeling - the one you get when you have held something too big inside and you feel you may explode.
Her soft footsteps headed towards Kitty, never once trying to cover up the fact that she was approaching. She smiled, watching her as she walked around her, speaking softly, "Hey Kitty.", she broke the silence as she took a seat next to the young girl.
Her eyes didn't drift once to the T.V., because even though she found it to be very intriguing at times she had been around longer than this convenient contraption.
"What have you been doing lately? I know I haven't seen you around as much so I just assumed that you were busy or caught up in the usual drama." She gave her a bright smile and quirked her eyebrows, knowing that Kitty would know she meant no offense. Teens and young ladies had so much drama in their life - mostly caused by guys - and that could cause one to become somewhat dormant in their normal lifestyle.

Kitty let her eyes drift to the woman who had joined her. Bella was one of her favorite people to talk to. Over the past few month she had been busy and assumed that Bella had also been busy, almost everyone else seemed to be at least. Kitty had spent two full months away from the institute not long ago, working out problems she had been having with her phasing. When Bella sat Kitty turned the TV off laying the remote next to her and giving Bella her full attention.
"It seems like everyone has been a bit busy around her, though I did leave for a few months. I had a few personal problems I had to work out. But I've been back for about a week or so now. I tis nice to see you Bella. I friend;y face is always welcome around me. There are so many of the other students who seemed either distracted or just down." Kitty explained as she turned on the couch a bit so that she was looking at Bella.
Though there was a bit of an age difference between them, most of the time you would never guess that they had not know each other that long. They were able to speak openly to one another and share just about anything between them. Going as long as they did without talking was rare and a sign that there had been numerous major things going on around them.

Bella gave Kitty her warm smile, as usual and a slight sigh as she mentioned how the others seemed either really caught up in something or down. "We just have to take it all in stride. I don't think that there is anything worse than having someone you care about hurting and you not being able to do anything about it." Bella was herself more a martyr than anything. She may not be overly courageous or brave but if you laid something on the line that she cared about you would not believe the way that she would spring into action... as soon as needed.
She turned towards Kitty a little more and leaned against the back of the couch, letting her arm rest across the back. "How are you doing now? I mean is everything okay and settled?" She didn't want to pry into Kitty's personal life but she wanted to make it clear that if she wanted to talk about it that she was open anytime. "You know that anytime some thing's bothering you.. my door is always open - anytime." Then with a grin she added softly, a quirk of her eyebrow to add to the jest, "Not that you would have to use it."

Kitty let a small laugh escape her lips. Bella always knew how to get her to smile and it usually revolved around Kitty's ability. That was another thing that got to her sometimes. Her phasing had caused a lot of problems recently. It seemed to start up right after Christmas actually. She had tried to chalk it up to stress, but eventually even that excuse felt lame to her.
"Some of it is taken care of. But you know how it is, some problems just like to stick around. I', sure it will eventually work itself out. But how have you been? Its been quite awhile since we have had the chance to talk." Kitty said turning the attention back to Bella. As much as she needed to talk this was not the time.
Kitty rung her hands together nervously. This had become a nasty habit now that she was trying to break. She seemed on edge so much of the time, only content when she was in front of a computer letting all the nervous energy out for the short period of time.
