(This is Tyler, say hello to Arthur's big brother everybody!)
He shoves the aviator shades up over the top of his forehead, whistling lowly as he takes in the sight of the institute. Things are funny that way. Tyler had been visiting his brother in this place for years, and yet, he was never less impressed by the grandeur of the Xavier school. That probably wasn't saying much considering he spent a large duration of his life living on a farm in Virginia..
Little about him suggests the Coleman lineage outside of his dark hair and slow smile that more often than not stretched to a grin, and just about everything about him screamed that he could not possibly be related or much less even know the slight, nervous music teacher. Lean from exercise and tan from his afternoon runs, he seems just the opposite of his pallid, scrawny sibling. Life is also funny this way. But Tyler had always thought it a fair trade. His little brother got the brains and the talent, and Tyler got the looks and the ladies.
Bundled up in an old jacket that had served him well over the years of hiking, running, and climbing, it seems to be as though he has just come from one of his latest adventures. (Even if the world stood still Tyler would still be exploring it.) Glancing back towards the car on the curb, he can just make out the eager face of his black lab Eliza, panting in earnest and then looking slightly agitated as she keeps peeling back her lips in annoyance at in the car with her. Chortling, Tyler makes a smart salute,"Just a little longer, 'Liza."
Eyeing the digital face of his watch, he nods firmly. Right on time. Tyler grins in anticipation, stretching his arm forward and rapping on the door with his knuckles. He bounces from one foot to the other slightly, unused to braving the chilly weather while standing still. Showing up announced was one of his most habitual antics, and Tyler had always thought these visits to be pleasant surprises--the spice of life. It was uncertain of how he had yet to see the distress it caused his neurotic brother, or the anxiety that resulted when he had called him at approximately one minute past midnight to wish Arthur a happy birthday in the form of obnoxious singing.
It wasn't everyday your little brother turned thirty-five, after all. And yet, it was funny how Arthur was supposed to be the blind one..
