Name: Erik Magnus Lehnsherr
Codename: Magneto
Age: Mid-Seventies
Mutation: Manipulation of the magnetic fields which allows him to perform a wide variety of abilities.
1) Can move and manipulate any metallic object around him. Magneto can apply such magnetic force upon a metallic object as to liquefy it and reshape it to any form he sees fit. Also he can pull and propel any metal to high speed velocity. He can lift several tons from a distance of three hundred feet away with ease, but if his body is weak and under heavy strain, then this is severly limited.
2) Can bend the natural magnetic field of the earth around him granting him a magnetic shield which is practically impenetrable. Fire is useless against his shield, but as to why no one can really elaborate. Extreme concussive blasts are also useless against Magneto's shield, even those from atomic weaponry. As an added bonus, when created, Magneto's electromagnetic shield allows him to fly, even at great speeds, by shifting the polarity of his shield against or in harmony to the magnetic field at the core of the planet.
3) Any energy based attacks, such as laser beams, can be redirected away from him due to their magnetic field required to create them. Electricity is also useless against Magneto as electricity and magnetism are so closely related, a fact which allows him to absorb and infinite amount of electricity into his body. As such, Magneto has been recorded as projecting electrical bolts from his hands and body.
4) Magneto can manipulate the iron in a person's bloodstream to lift them from the ground and he can also restrict it to cause anuerisms which will lead to death in the victim, but this is usual only in those with high iron content in their blood stream. He can also affect someone's thoughts and memory by altering the iron in the bloodstream, causing them to become forgetful and light headed or dizzy.
5) While not really a mutation, Magneto is a master strategist and possesses a genius level intellect.
Physical Description: Magneto stands a bit over 6' tall and is rather thin and aging. He has thick stark white hair which he keeps combed back and ice blue eyes. His skin is a bit tan and he has no other identifying marks save for the ink marking the Nazi's tattooed on him as a child in the concentration camp he was confined in. He usually wears a black and purple suite complete with cape and helmet to match. The helmet is made from the same material as cerebro and allows Magneto to keep his mind safe from any and all psychic assaults.
Personality: Magneto is a mutant full of internal struggling and conflict. He is a naturally charismatic leader and and in a way sees himself as the savior of mutant kind. He is a peaceful man by nature, but years of persecution and seeing those he cares for hurt have turned him into the person he is now. Magneto does not wish to cause a war, but sees no other way of resolving the problems between homo sapiens and mutants. He sees the mutant persecution as another Jewish holocaust and seeing as how he was too weak and inexperienced to help his people then, Magneto has vowed to use his powers and experience to protect his kind this time. While he is sympathetic to all mutants everywhere, Magneto will cut down any who attempt to stop him and his mission in life, something which pains him greatly to do. While he has made many sound decisions in life and the war he rages, Magneto does tend to detach himself from those around him, causing and even larger rift between he and potential allies.
Background: Magneto was born into a Jewish family in Germany right before World War II began. Around age ten, he and his family were taken prisoner and committed to a concentration camp along with the other Jews in the area. He was separated from his family, who were presumably killed and eventually Magneto was shot and killed himself, buried in a mass grave. His unique mutation, which was still unknown to him at that time, saved him from death by causing the bullet to miss all vital organs in his body.
Magneto dug himself free from his grave and was later taken prisoner again by the Nazi's and put in another concentration camp, Auschwitz. Due to his weak and frail condition, Magneto was unable to really use his powers to help anyone, including himself and this haunts him to this day. The entire Nazi army could not have offered any challenge if Magneto were strong enough then as he is today.
After World War II, Magnus fell in love with a gypsy by the name of Magda and the two had a daughter together, Anya. However, Magda and Magnus were not meant to be together long for she left him after he used his mutant ability to save them both from a house fire. In fear of her lover, Magda left Magneto only to discover shortly there after that she was pregnant with twins, Wanda and Pietro. After giving birth to the twins, she left them with gypsies and wandered out into the night to never be seen again.
Magneto searched for his wife for years, adopting the name Erik Lehnsherr as a cover, but gave up, resigning to the fact that Magda was gone forever. He then eventually found his way to Israel where he met a man by the name of Charles Xavier, who at that time was working as a psychiatrist helping former Jewish prisoners overcome their nightmares of having been tortured at the hands of the Nazi's. The two became fast friends and even went out into the world to help other mutants such as themselves. Magneto eventually grew tired of the way humanity persecuted mutants, reminding him of the way the Nazi's persecuted the Jews, and parted ways with Xavier who he felt was too soft.
Magneto then rallied other mutants to his side and declared war on the homo sapiens, sometimes even forced to fight against his long time friend Charles Xavier and his team known as the X-Men. He has gone into hiding since the assault on Alcatraz Island, which left him powerless, but rumor has it, that Magneto's powers are back and so is he.

The snow fell softly in the air as the sun dimly lit the sky, somewhat blocked by the thick clouds hanging overhead. The number five train bound for Anchorage trudged along the cold iron rails, carrying its passengers ever closer to their destination, a place some people jokingly referred to as the "End of the World". Not many people were riding this train, but one particular person was...Erik Lehnsherr, other wise known as Magneto, the most wanted mutant in the world.
Magneto said next to a window, dressed in a pair of faded blue jeans and a sweat shirt, a long thick trench coat and wide brimmed hat sitting in the empty seat next to him. Erik had decided to take himself someplace not quite as crowded as the lower forty-eight states, somewhere where not so many homo sapiens were around. He needed time to himself, time to think and privacy in which to exercise his returning powers. He smiled as he thought about how the so called "cure" for mutants turned out to be a failure and thought about the look on the faces of the world leaders when he made his triumphant return. Of course, Magneto knew it wouldn't be easy to rally the Brotherhood back together, but if anyone could do it, he could.
"You might want to gather your things sir, we'll be arriving in ten minutes," a tall and lanky young porter said to Erik as he walked by, informing all the passengers. Erik turned his head and nodded, picking up his hat and carefully placing it on his head. He stopped for a moment and stared at the floor, he would succeed this time, he would show no mercy to the homo sapiens, he would show them just how superior mutants really were and he would make them pay for the atrocities they had inflicted upon his kind.
