Mutation: Terra's mutation allows her to hold certain properties over the plants.
Plants: Terra also has the ability to manipulate plants. She can encourage growth, communicate with them, and can tell the history of the plant. (i.e. if a forest fire damaged a tree, she would be able to tell.) She can also grant health to dying plants by giving them nutrients from herself; this power has the potential as she grows to transfer health to other beings. The older she gets, the more plant-like properties she acquires. As of now, she can connect with the Earth or other plants by growing roots from any part of her body, into the Earth. By rooting herself, she has the potential to take nutrients out of the Earth that she needs. As of now, she can only extract very little water and that's it.
Physical Description:
Tatiana is a cute girl. She has beautiful curly blond hair. (She wishes that she had straight hair, and sometimes straitens it.) Her hair is down to her shoulders, and is slightly frizzy. Her blue eyes are bright and very noticeable. When someone first meets her, they are usually the first thing that they notice. She is 4' 9", which isn't that short for a 11 year old. She was blessed with the most magnificent skin which is very fair and soft. Tatiana can be found in a casual dress or skirt, and her shirt depends on the weather. Tatiana doesn't like the cold. She doesn't like high-heels, but she doesn't like tennis shoes either so she usually just wears a pair of nice slip-ons.
Personality: Tatiana is a very easy going sweet girl. She is very much the optimist. Tatiana doesn't like to see anyone having an off day, and will try to cheer them up at all costs. She is a very giving and generous person; she does very little for herself. She has always been a social butterfly, even as a toddler. She can always be found with a smile on her face, ear to ear. She always looks at the bright side of a situation, which can sometimes be a flaw of hers. She's too trusting, letting people walk all over her in some instances. The only thing that can get her down is a death. When someone or something dies, she holds on to it remembering until she breaks down and cries or tells someone whom she looks up to.
Background: Tatiana is the only daughter of Alex and Anna Myriwether. Alex is a very easy going family man. He owns a very successful china and crystal shop in downtown Denver. He loves Tatiana very much, and is very open with her. He is very supportive of her and her gift. Anna is a very happy house mother. She cooks, cleans, and does most of the in-house maintenance. She passed on much of her house mother knowledge onto Tatiana. Anna made sure as Tatiana grew that she instilled morals and values into her daughter.
From birth until about age 7, Tatiana was considered 'normal'. No signs of her mutation were apparent except for her love of nature and getting down and dirty. She was just a normal little girl living with her family in suburban Denver. One day, Anna was cleaning the house as she routinely did and noticed Tatiana weeping over a dying plant. She walked over to her daughter to comfort her, but as she was walking, she witnessed Tatiana touch one of her tears and touch the plant. Miraculously, the plant became healthier in an instant. Anna was amazed.
At age 10, Tatiana was playing outside with some friends in her backyard. Tatiana and three other friends were playing with the sprinkler in the backyard, jumping in and out of it. One of the little boys that she was playing with ventured near her mother's garden. He began to mutilate and hack the plants with his hands, killing a caterpillar in the process. Out of anger Tatiana sent vines and roots at the boy, tangling him up. Her father ran out and saw what she did, and knew he had to do something about his daughter. Not out of shame he sent her to the institute, but out of the hope that she'd learn how to control and use her gift, he sent her. He didn't want anyone to get hurt, including Tatiana. He made some calls, and off the family went on a trip to the Xavier Institute. Alex met with up with the professor (Xavier) and discussed Tatiana's situation. Charles assured Alex of the Institutes credibility, and there she's been ever since.

It was a beautiful spring day in Denver. Birds sung a beautiful song and the ice capped mountains looked beautiful in the distance. All of the flowers and plants were coming back to life. Little buds and blossoms were everywhere; it was a truly stunning sight. In the midst of all of this beauty was another little flower, already in full bloom. Tatiana sat in her back yard under a large elm tree. Though it didn't yet have all of it's leaves, it still provided some shade from the sun. Tatiana loved to sit under the large elm, which she named Neka.
Though it may seem weird, Tatiana spent most of her free time sitting under Neka's large branches and at the base of the trunk. "What a beautiful day it is Neka, spring has begun! Your leaves should be sprouting anytime now." She grinned, placing her hands and cheek against Neka. She closed her eyes. Light cracking and crunching noises could be heard, the tree's branches quivered; leaves had begun to sprout from the branches until the tree looked as if it was in full bloom. "There you go Neka." she smiled, moving away from Neka, out into the sun.
She laid down in the grass, and basked in the sun. The warm touch of the sun tingled Tatiana's skin. She enjoyed warm weather more then anything else. As she laid in the grass, she became more aware of her surroundings. She could feel the small ant colony beneath her, the small chipmunks that pattered across her yard, she just smiled. This was truly a wonderful day.
