Name:
Heather Ann Mosley
Codename:
eel
Age:
15
Mutation:
Being born with a mother with natural mutant powers and a father who was a human, Heather did not acquire her abilities until her childhood years (seven years of age). Heather inherited some of her mother's control over one of the minor element, lightning.
When controlling this element, Heather can manipulate the shape, mainly she morphs the lightning into a orb While using the lightning in orb form, Heather can release it's power (which would normally range as a weak lightning bolt; meaning it is strong enough to split a full grown tree and possibly catch it on fire). This release of sudden electrical energy would lead to metal being vaporized as well as most insulation. Scratches and burns are almost a given, but since Heather does not have full control of her abilities, and the full development do to being only half mutant, these explosions can sometimes only harness enough energy to knock down a few trees and cause small fires. However, sometimes due to her lack of control, no effect can take place or it just simply backfires on herself.
When morphing the electricity in other forms beside an orb , Heather can saunter through many materials. While using the different shapes, consisting of a needle-like shape and plate-like, Heather can use these shapes to cut through materials such as wood, glass, iron, partly through steel, and partly through diamond.
Physical Description:
Heather’s height is only a mere four feet and eleven inches and only weighs a light ninety five pounds. She has a medium complexion, not being too tan or too pale. Her light blond hair reaches down to her shoulder blades from the back and reaches mid-way into her breasts from the front. Heather parts her hair slightly on the right side of her head , which allows her hair to hang more so over her left eye. Her piercing light blue eyes are exactly of her mothers, just like a mirror image. Her thin, light pink lips are soft and contrast well against her skin.
Her figure is small, due to her height and weight, but she prefers to be as small as she can be. Her muscles make up for her looking so frail. In contrast to her torso, her legs are slightly longer, but is hard to tell with the long shirts she wears. At the moment, Heather is overall happy with her physique. Her hands, though, are really the only part of her body that she is not proud of and does not completely enjoy having. Scars criss-cross on her palms due to training with electricity, and some just from cutting vegetables in the kitchen and simply gardening.
Personality:
Heather is normally a sweet girl, but she has a very quick temper. The tapping of a pen aggravates her to know end, but she holds her tongue and says nothing about the matter. Her face just scrunches up and glares at the person or object until it stops. After what was annoying her stops, she is back to her normal, bubbly self.
When first meeting , Heather comes off as quiet and shy. She likes to talk, but sometimes she doesn’t feel that the moment is not right for her two-cents in the matter. However, when there is a topic being discussed and she is highly interested in and passionate about, Heather will speak her mind no matter what anybody else says or thinks. Taking after her father in the quiet and shy category, Heather also takes after her mother in being rough and rude. Thus, making Heather a strong fighter and normally does not back down. (Her brother likes to say she just has a multi-personality disorder.)
Background:
Heather grew up in Los Angeles, California. Being raised by her eldest brother who is nine years older than her, Heather did not receive the best care nor education due to the family’s lack of money. Her mother and father were around, they were just too engulfed in their own lives to take care of a crying baby. Heather became an outcast around the age of seven, when she first acquired her mutant powers. This is when her mother started to finally pay attention to her.
Her mother, being a social outcast because of her being a mutant and crude, started to spend hours on end with her daughter to perfect her powers as much as she could. Mainly this reason was so she could get her revenge. Revenge on everything single person who shunned her because she was different. Finally having enough of his mothers actions, Heather’s brother who raised her packed up what little he and his little sister had and left home. Leaving the crowded trailer was not a problem for either of them. (Heather was eight, almost nine at the time)
Making their way to a local gas station, Nick, (Heather’s brother) make a deal with a truck driver. If he were to work for the man, he would drive Heather and her brother to Sacramento. Thinking it over quickly, Nick agreed and the next thing Heather remembered, she was in a run-down hotel with her brother sleeping next to her.
When Heather turned nine, she was honestly happy for the first time. The truck driver she and Nick met had become somewhat of a father to her, taking care of the both of them and making sure neither of them got into any trouble. Their father figure found out about Heather being a mutant when she was concentrating her electricity into orb form. Restraining himself from calling the cops, Nick and Heather explained the whole situation. It took the man a few weeks to accept it and to promise that he would keep the secret between the three of them. Her 'father' eventually gave her the nickname of 'eel' because her electric powers reminded him of an electric eel.
A little after the blond turned thirteen, Heather was pleased to move into an actual house with a large backyard. This started Heather’s real training. Heather trained until she heard word of an academy of some sort, which spiked her interests greatly. Time seemed to fly by and Heather found herself registering into the Xavier Institute. This was another point in her life where she was honestly happy.

Heather had promised her brother that she would be good and not abuse her powers or use them loosely at the academy, as she always did at home. Looking up at the burnt spot on the ceiling, her eyes drifted to the impact marks on the walls and carpet. It looked as if hundred of needles and lashed whipped against the room in a blind fury. Lamps were broken and on the floor, Heather’s mattress and sheets had no chance of surviving and she wouldn’t really rather mention all the shattered glass from the mirrors in her room. Just one medium sized orb and she lost concentration for a moment and just look what happened.
Mentally she was berating herself, repeating her brothers words over and over in her head. “Just behave at the Institute, okay? This will be a great thing for you and I don’t want you to screw it up.” The harshness of his words only showed how much he really cared for her. But, at the moment, her main concern was to clean this mess up before somebody else saw it.
“My alibi is… It wasn’t my fault.” Heather mumbled to herself and she began to pick up broken pieces of glass.
