It occurred to me that we might want to start a thread on this to get the discussion out of the cbox.
So, if I'm not mistaken, what we had planned for London was to interact with Jake, Ororo, etc... have weird reunions like we've been doing. London is mostly a dead end, and in the meantime, HQ will have contacted Illyana somehow in order to send the kiddos back to 2007/2008. Big grandiose thread to send them back and such.
Following the return, ostensibly the X-Men are planning on trying to alter things so that future doesn't come to pass. That event is when Emma Frost's plan to take over Washington mentally goes awry. This could be a rather fun thread with our heroes combating the populace that has been driven crazy by Emma and trying to stop the nuclear launch.
With Jake MIA, London doesn't seem like a wise idea. Do we want to give up on the future threads and move forward into the present? Anything that 'should' have happened can be posted in our summaries and profiles. On the other hand, we could just hop London and move onto whatever we want to plan for the big future finale.
We've all been pretty quiet lately... hopefully everyone is still up for some posting.

Hey all! I'm up for anything really, but I don't have the slightest clue where to fit Matty or Toni. Old Toni can help with the whole 'getting a hold of Illyana' and other stuffs...I guess Toni and Matty can get thrown around in the background there. I'd also like to do some 'Toni meets the family' stuff, since just about everyone else has done it But I can do that on my own time. Matty's up for some angst and/or fluff... Just assign me! Gimme a job and I'll do it! I just wanna start posting with peoples again! Rah! PS: I'm glad peoples are back now

OK, here's my $0.02:
I'd originally proposed the future plot as a way of bringing all the PCs together into a smaller space to RP in, since there were less than half a dozen active participants and we were really spread out thinly, and I thought we might interact more in a different setting.
It didn't really work; participation dropped still further. For a while there I was posting with myself, just to keep things going.
And we've now got a whole bunch of "2007" PCs in 2027 who aren't being played at all, which makes moving us all to London or Russia or anywhere increasingly difficult logistically.
So I don't see any huge reason to stay in the future.
Is anyone else actively psyched to post in the future? If so, start doing so... that might perk things up.
If not, we can fast-forward the whole mess by having Illyana get the message and appear at the Camps and send us back, and move on to the next thing. As Andy suggests, we don't even have to do it on camera.
As for what the next thing is... I don't know. I'm perfectly happy to go along with anything that at least two other people are interested in enough to participate in regularly, but I'm not really interested in trying to come up with more plot myself.

I'm really pretty into the future thing actually, I think this recent drop off in activity is just that we're all busy and when people get busy the remaining people go "...oh? No one here? Okay." and wander off. It's a cycle we go through now and then. My inactivity can be put down to being sick twice in one month and not being a leader or a plotter by nature so if someone isn't tell me where we're going I tend to just sit here and wait. That and I'm crap at starting threads lately. Replying I could do. I could reply all the live long day, but there are no open threads so...very circular.
I'd like to keep going in the future a little. Matty and I have a thread we'll be doing and I want to get my writing act together and throw some characterization stuff in for my trio since when will they ever be in the same place again? Anyone interested in threads, hi, hello, talk to me.
As to getting back my vote is to ditch London and have Illyana show up at some point soon. We can have the big flashy getting back scene and kill some of our future characters off. We all like a good fight/death scene eh? And I believe there was a Monty Python shoutout mentioned with IceFutureBob and various limbs being chopped off and the biting of ankles which really sort of needs to happen so I can die laughing.
Then when we get back to the past, I believe there was some discussion about having the whole plot have actually been orchestrated by Evil Chuck and having a curtailed version of Onslaught right there? I really liked that idea actually and if Matty's handler still wants to do his fake!death we could totally fit that in- he could be outside the range of the initial attack somehow and go off half-cocked to find whoever's doing it just as the others start to fight back against it. Evil Chuck cuts his losses and pulls back but runs into Matty, there's a tussle, he "explodes" but is in all actuality under mind control and leaves with Evil Chuck. The others don't know who the psychic was or suspect that Matty's alive. Matty does whatever his handler wants for awhile (she's only had uh...forever... to plan it haha) and eventually he's revealed, they figure out who's controlling him, and there's a Big Psychic Showdown against Evil Chuck.
A huge ton of holes in that I know but it's just a vague sort of sketch of an idea. Which you guys! Will fill in! Or come up with better ideas! haha

*Pulls on his "I'm with evil -> " shirt*
I'm totally up for Onslaught, but I agree with Laurie in that we should finish up the Future thing first, especially now that it sounds like people are starting to wander back to the site (yay!).
We all have lots of future characters we'd love to kill and lots of other angsty-fluff to do (*cough* MattyLaurieYay! *coughcough*), so I say we all have lots of fun and just go to town with all that stuff! I personally wanna kill of some Joni kids!
And now I'm gonna start up the bandwagon and post some Warflower fluffs!

Re: plot I’m uninterested in driving plot at this point, but am happy to do plot-less character-threads, and happy to participate in plots other people drive. I’m happy with all of Laurie’s suggestions. Summarizing them: Ditch London/Jake. Instead, do some personal threads in the future, followed by Illyana showing up on base, followed by a big fight scene with SHIELD in which futurefolk get killed off dramatically and pastfolk (handwave) go back to the past. Then we (somehow) save the future from Evil Chuck, who mindcontrols Matt. Re: starting threads Fair enough. I got kinda burned out on it, but am willing to give it another shot if the four of us are genuinely interested in posting regularly again. Here's one: 100mtoanchorage.proboards98.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=magneto&thread=1201543255&page=1

I'm also not that interested in being like a plot-moderator type. If the four of us are serious about continuing, I'm hoping that everyone will be able to take initiative and move things forward when they need to be. For now, Dave's summary sounds pretty good. We can do a bit of characterization stuff until we move on to the final battle, and then we can do the Washington thread in 2007.
If we realized that we don't have the time or # of people needed to continue the board, at the very least, finishing out through the Washington thread will give a nice neat ending to the 100M story. After that, we can evaluate whether we want to continue. I'm hoping that we'll have fun and get back into the swing of things.
Who knows about Professor Xavier at this point? Just Moira? Curious because he would be a natural suspect for the Washington bit, if he was alive and all.

*sneaks in* I'm still around, also. Just sort of lurking... a lot... Because that's what I do until poked, apparently. ^^;;
And as usual I'm doing the nodding and have no actual suggestions to add, all seems well to me, just wanted to let ya know I'm still around too. <33

At the moment it's mostly busybusybusy, oh look, a free day! *melt* keeping me from writing (I finally found my muse again, it seems), but thanks! <3
I'll try to write something up this week, either Thurs. or today or something. Or both, that'd probably be good. XD (Which means I have to figure out where Johnny stashed Roguey and how she got over to the base, but I assume no one would mind me saying one of the team randomly stumbled upon / recognized her and dragged her along?)

Yeah. At this point I think we can just say that the raid on the Camps was a while ago and we're all in the Brotherhood's auxiliary HQ, trying to settle in and figure out what to do next, and it doesn't really matter how we got there.
Feel free to join any of Bobby's threads. And, of course, to start your own.

Anyway, just to give you the low-down (posting from Uni, sigh, which has kicked off again...) we've had major issues (yet again) with the internet at chez Manflesh but those are now *fingers crossed* sorted, so Py and Jake will be returning to your screens at some point this week.
